Didn't fancy the Venga Boys then !?
Ok then, maybe REO Speedwagon. or 10cc or Kansas ?
Also Budgie are a great band, not totally in the same vain, but think you could like.

It was quite a leap, I'll give you that. I've just discovered a couple of Kansas vinyl in our collection. Must have inherited then from someone. I knew a few tracks, but haven't given them the time of day either. I'll stick on later today.

    Beluga Lagoon

They / he(?) provide the soundtrack to a BBC Scotland show called Roaming The Wild which is probably my favourite current TV show.

I've had a proper listen to The Beta Band for the first time and am seriously wondering how different my life would be if I'd given them a listen when they were active.

That is a great album. I love "What a day".

I've recently discovered Gunship and am now utterly, irreparably hooked. I think Dark All Day might be my favourite 80s album that wasn't made in the 80s.

Because it was my first (on casette no less) Album of the Year is always where my mind goes when I get in a Faith No More mood.

I watched the Real Thing live at Brixton video so many times the tape went funny too.
