I recently picked up the Hater self-titled album on CD from 1993, no idea how or why I had never got round to it before... absolutely love it. It's a side-project led by Matt Cameron (Soundgarden / Pearl Jam) and Ben Shepherd (Soundgarden).

Yeah amazing performance, Down in a Hole on that is just brutal, Layne was in a pretty bad way already by that point. I watched a great interview with Jerry recently, worth a watch / listen if you've got time, such a cool and interesting guy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AT9pwCFMz0k

DIIV - Love their latest album, not something I thought I'd be into but the whole record is solid. Love the riff on Blankenship. Worth a listen if you're into shoegaze type stuff.

Lightning Seeds: Dizzy Heights. Still a great upbeat and dare I say "pop" record. Very much of its time (1996) along with The Beloved "Happiness" (new special ed out soon) stands as my most revisited of the pop/commercial acidish sound of the 90's. I bought both on release, which was fairy out of step with my listening at the time.

I had almost moved on from the DefJam sound, although I would always stick with PE and BB right up until now in fact. But I was listening to Seattle and my dad's records like Dylan, Stones (70's vintatge) FMac, CSN&Y, ZZ Top etal.

I thought when I wrote that should it be had/has. As we are getting old (especially you) it's more often parents won't be around. X.

I am indeed getting on mate ;) still own (about 60% Silver!) hair and teeth. My Back and delts are fooked though!!

I just assumed we are all "Sexy Bichiies" on EG, yeah baby.

Luckily Mum and Dad were 17,20 and 23 when they had us, so had some good quality time. My ma is still going ;)
As a parent, I get very upset thinking I wont be around for all my two's life.

Primal Scream: Give Out But Don't Give Up.
    The Original Memphis Recordings.

This is great, totally transforms the original mixed bag of an album. No George Clinton producing and all Tom Dowd, oh them Memphis Horns.
