    Definitely Bon Scott all the way for ACDC, but i do like early bruce for maiden maybe up to Stranger in a Strange land. Di'anno always had a really thin vocal, so i think bruce fills the sound out better.

    Speaking of old man music, had a listen to Neil Young's Colorado, too which was ok. Neil & Crazy Horse are aways decent.

    Don't think I liked it as much as 'Psychedelic pill' though. Maybe needs a few more listens.

    Military Genius - Deep Web

    Great ambient trip hoppy stuff with jazzy flourishes. Heard on 6 music earlier and looked up the album. loving it. Great late-night background music.

    Watching the Country Awards on BBC4 now. The socially distanced seating makes it feel like a wedding where only half the guests turned up.

    I never got Bon Scott era AC/DC when I first got into them, around 84/85 ish. I just fell in love with Back in Black around then. But nowadays I will tend to go for their earlier material. Love hungry man and touch too much have really great bass lines. And Scottís lyrics arenít always the standard heavy rock fair.

    @Saul_Iscariot :)

    If I want a really good blast, one of my first choices tends to be the live ďIf You Want Blood...Ē album.

    @EMarkM I donít blame you on that. It is a proper example of how a live album should be done. Straight, to the point this is what we are music. You either like it it donít. I cannot think of many live albums that work as well. Some of the unplugged albums do, but they donít capture what AC/DC, or other bands, would have been like.

    Started the day with Napalm Death's From Enslavement to Obliteration, a true classic of extreme music.

    Now onto Flying Lotus - Cosomogramma. More of a conventional Sunday selection :D

    Just now it's been disc 2 of Sandinista by The Clash.
    So fucking good. The back half, or side 4 of the original vinyl release. So fucking good.

    Even though I love their debut and adore (who doesn't?) London Calling I've actually never listened to Sandinista - it just seems such a mammoth undertaking and it's not on the same level as LC.

    Do I need to rectify this immediately?

    Yes you should. As soon as you can.👍
    I first heard it 30 years ago at a house party. It turned me on to all sorts of things musically.
    It's just a really good listen, like the records you mentioned.

    @Trafford

    It's on the list for tonight!

    Not sure if you've heard it yet but there's a Mick Jones cameo on the new Avalanches album; it's hard to miss. Love it.

    @Rhaegyr

    I've just put an Xmas order in with Piccadilly Records, Avalanches were in the basket 🙂

    Going back to Sandinista, it's like a bigger, more expansive London's Calling.
    Certainly in my top ten albums ever.
    And it's 40 years old this week!
    Hyper bowl.

    I found Stacker Humanoid on Spotify and then went with the radio channel based on that. All kinds of awesome old stuff comes up, including Underworld, Aphex Twin, FSOL, The Orb :D

    Oh, and a large part of the original wipEout soundtrack \o/
