Cranberries: In the end, such a shame this is/was the end, a great tribute. I love and always loved Dolores O'Riordan's strong accent on her songs. I know that sounds strange, as it's her voice (what else is she going to do!) but you get artists who "hide" their accents on vocals.
New Black Keys album is pretty great.

The new St Vincent album. Itís great. Goes full 70ís in this. Elements of Floyd, Bowie, Newman. Ticks all my boxes and done In a way that is well.. St Vincent. Maybe album of the year already.
Oh? I'll have to check it out.
On topic, I was listening to the Iron Maiden playlist on spotify in a vain attempt to pedal faster in some crit races on zwift.
I didn't win. 😢
But did go pretty much as fast as i could. Which was ok. It was definitely type 2 fun.
I'm on a nostalgia trip from when I was barely old enough to even understand what music is with some Giorgio Moroder stuff, obviously triggered by Donna Summer.
Can't go wrong with some moroder tunes.
Just discovered this guy.
@hillbilly66 Yeah he's very good - I first heard this one:
via Michael Palmisano's channel, I think.

Thatís brilliant thanks
On the subject of Michael Palmisano recs, I've got to post this:
I knew of Derek Trucks from years ago, but only really from his Crossroads appearance. I never even knew he had a band with (and is married to) Susan Tedeschi so this really opened my eyes. So soulful, it's just ridiculous.
The song starts at around 3:30 - he interrupts quite a bit to comment on the song structure and technique so I would recommend watching the original first if that's not of interest to you:

Fan project AI upscale of Alive 2007, been out a few months, but spotted it on YT the other day, just went to check it out then obviously had to watch the entire thing. Still amazing, now in sort of 4k.

God know how Iíve only just given this a spin but have spun Ďlovelessí by my bloody valentine for the first time this weekend.
What an assault on the senses.
After a few spins, itís quite impressive how the melodies can still punch through all the distortion etc. Couple of tracks reminded me of REALLY noisy Teenage Fanclub.
I can appreciate it might not be everyoneís cuppa tea but feel Iím going to give it a lot of time while Iím the motor this week.
@Fourwisemen that album is a real thing of beauty
It's an amaaaaazing album.
Dylanne of us must know, (Sooner or later) pure class.

Greta Van Fleet - The Battle at Garden's Gate.
After listening almost exclusively to synthwave for the past five years or so, I've finally found a new guitar rock album I love. It's still pretty retro though I guess, so I am still living in the past. They are very much to Led Zeppelin what Oasis were to the Beatles.
As if its the 8th anniversary of my 3rd favourite Queens of the Stone Age album already

When you've been listening to some music thinking it's a bit "out there" but pretty cool, then album finishes and you realise there's been a glitchy techno mix running in another browser window the whole time
Basically I started searching on Mixcloud for mixes by the same artist but didn't realise it had automatically started playing.
Anyway, Against All Logic is great, especially the 2012-2017 collection

Tame Impala - extremely late to the party but the guy is extremely talented isn't he?
I can see if you were a fan from the early days the new stuff might be too much of a radical departure but as I've come to it with fresh ears I can appreciate the old psychedelic sounds with the more electronic output he's releasing at the mo.

Been on a big Skunk Anansie kick the last few days. They really donít get the recognition they deserve.
