You can't price ebooks under 69*snigger*pence (except putting them up for free). And starting at the lowest value is a bad idea anyways, because it gives you no room to manoeuvre.

*not sure if 10p suggestion was satirical mocking of how underpaid/valued artists are or not*

@CosmicFuzz I've sat down so many times, trying to create longer pieces but they always end up unfinished or a complete mess. I stumbled upon flash fiction at a writing course last year and it seems to be something I can get done. Having the word count limit seems to really help me.

Hope you enjoy it if you grab a copy.

@binky just finished it! Perfect length for train ride home. Really enjoyed it, actually made me chuckle out loud on a number of occasions. I loved the Superman one.

I gave it a well-deserved five stars at the end from my kindle app so it should go onto the website I think, but let me know if it doesn't go through and I'll log into Amazon and do it again.

    Nice one dude!

    @steve1979 Thanks, fella.

ha ha ha - I wrote a story (in the book, available now from all good Amazons) about that very same thing, and now I'm becoming my own writing. It's quite sad to witness :D

It's easy to do. My 3rd book launched in Feb and I spent most of the day watching the numbers. My publisher would probably yell at me to get back to writing, but you can't help it.

Looks like the book is doing well. 4, 5 star reviews, nice cover too.

My only advice, and feel free to ignore it, set up an amazon author page. Get a photo and link your twitter or FB page to it. People like to be able to see the author and learn about them.

@steve1979 Ah yes, I tried doing that the other day but the page was broken. I'll try again this morning.

Some lovely reviews so far, and not one of them is from my mum. I designed the cover with a colleague. Rather pleased with it, and I think it stands out.

@binky It's very nice. It stands out, which is the most important thing.

I'd die inside a little if my mum gave my book a review. :D

@steve1979 :D I've instructed them to refrain. Dear god I hope they refrain.

Author page sorted. Thanks for the tip.

No problem. If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask. If I can't answer, I probably know someone who can.

No problem. If this is your first book it's a bit of a daunting experience, hell I'm on my 5th and it's still a daunting experience.

    You and your book!

I had a very vivid dream last night that I was rushing around a large library in London which also happened to be hosting a games expo to try and buy a copy of your book.

The modern fiction section of the library had been temporarily removed to host the games expo and the last copy of your book, available for sale in the library entrance, had been reserved by a certain Mr asphaltcowboy...

    Bloody stapled oranges... :)

I very much enjoy the way you used "vivid dream" rather than "nightmare".
I wonder if Mr Asphaltcowboy has bought a copy yet?

By "vivid" I actually assume he meant "wet".

I agree. The "..." at the end clearly signifies he had to perform fellatio on asphaltcowboy in order to get his copy of the book.

Anyone who claims not to have had a powerfully erotic dream involving at least one other forum user is a liar.

As it's now all signed and sealed, I can finally announce that I've got a literary agent.
