The last post before the launch of the book on monday. So, if anyone still wants to read the prologue and first two chapters they can. (They can after monday too, I'm just saying.)
I've got formatting to do this weekend, although my friend informs me that because I use Scrivener, that programme will do everything for me. Which sounds nice. -

Registered 17 years agoI like the idea, but haven't invested in a Kindle yet. Good luck with the launch. -
I have to be honest and admit that the plot summary made me die a little inside but that's because I've never been a fan of this type of book! But for less than the lunch I just finished in 10 minutes you damn right I'll give it a try! All the best with it and hats off for bloody well doing what we all want to do.

@Mowgli - Well if you don't like it, thanks for giving it a try. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea and that's fair enough. -

It's been a crazy, but fantastic, day. -

Good job! I don't have an ereader tho -
@RedSparrows Got a smartphone ?? Most of them have a decent size screen nowadays and you can get the Kindle App and other ereaders on there. I'm pulling out my 4" inches (but adequate) all over the place for a quick read.
@Steve1979: congrats - enjoyed the first few chapters. -
@Steve - huge congrats mate, a long time in the making. Looking forward to see what the finished article is compared to the early draft I was given
Oh, and less of this e-reader crap, eh? Some of us like to turn actual pages and (shock horror) turn corners to mark our place. Down with the Kindle revolution! -

Registered 13 years ago@RedSparrows - Like, Oldgregg said, if you have a smart phone or tablet you can download the kindle app.
@oldgregg - Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it
@Ironlungs76 - There will be a paperback copy (probably at the end of the month), but because it's through Lulu it'll be about £10 a book.

I thought that about the Kindle until I actually used one, then you wonder how you did without. -

Registered 13 years agoI do love the kindle, it's an excellent piece of kit. And I have a big enough screen on my phone that it's quite good reading on there too. -
Kindle's great but I... shock horror... still read paper books!?!!!??!!?!!
The argument usually seems to fall down the "ooh I like holding proper books" hole way too early whenever discussing Kindles/ebooks. Using one doesn't preclude the other. The Kindle's a useful tool to read cool indie-published stuff, read larger books in comfort or to read in the bath safely. Dead trees are still nice to read, nice to hold and nice to browse
