Registered 15 years agoThe speed of players moving with the ball has been slowed to better reflect real matches
I hope that means no speed merchants & speed style teams this year, really spoilt what could've been a great game with 2012. -

Registered 17 years agoAfter all these years they've finally put in FIFA's first touch system. Whenever I play PES the first thing that hits me (well, just after the medicine ball and robot players) is that I instinctively want to control my first touch but can't. -

Registered 16 years agoIndeed it has, I can't remember a PES game that hasn't had the first touch control, it just wasn't advertised a it's killer new feature. In fact I get the feeling that PES has always had it, I seem to recal even PES4 had a shit load of first touch controls listed in the manual. -

Registered 10 years agoI just hope they tone down all the player moaning crap in masters league. If its as bad as pes 2012 iI'll be forced to finally move to fifa.
Have to admit this is the least excited I've ever been for a pes release.... But skyrim, dark souls and mass effect 3 completely dominating my gaming time might have something to do with that. -

Registered 10 years agoI think some people loved pes 2011 cos it was so easy to score 30 yard streamers. The defence would just back off and back off.
Personally i think pes 2012 is the better game. -

Registered 10 years agoPES 2011 was rubbish, i think PES 2012 was 100 times more fun than the 2011 release.
I really enjoyed playing it, i wish that Konami will catch up with the FOX ENGINE on next-gen consoles.
I also want to talk a bit about this kind of posts:
FIFA>PES, PES will never catch up with FIFA...etc
Let me clarify something for all of you, PES is not the same game as FIFA, much as COD is not the same as Battlefield, honestly and imo the PES game tries to deliver an arcade-style of gameplay without losing some of the realistic stuff that made FIFA take the crown, it's a bit hard to find the right words for it, and to explain it quite accuratly, but i think the whole point is, every game try to improve at its own way, and PES can't get blamed or criticised just for not selling more units than FIFA, they're moving in the right way, and i think the PES 2013 will be a good hit, before the actual jump into the next-gen experience

Registered 18 years agoI'm one of the good guys, but I find it very difficult to get remotely excited about this year's release. It's a million miles more entertaining to play than FIFA, but nothing like as good as it used to be. We've been telling them about the problems with the next gen gameplay and animation for years and it's still exactly the same, even after the 'reboot' a few years back. It's hard to fathom what Player ID is meant to add to the experience - these used to be little nuggets hidden in the game anyway, just for the love of it.
We knew it about Konami already, but I also get the impression the dev team too no longer give a shit. -

Registered 14 years agoI hope they have toned it down, haha, never felt the need to buy anyone in my ML team cos I thought stats were shockingly implemented last year, Fellaini and Rodwell could bang in 20 goals each from outside the box!
Thank Christ that ridiculous 1000mph running animation has been stopped too, it looked horrendous.
Not a fan of 2012 at all after a few weeks, loved the Wii version as usual though -
