Dont know about the SG3 but have tried pads with numerous other android devices running ICS. The pad just 'works' as long as the game supports them it just auto maps the controls. I cant imagine samsung being any different. |

found a compatible wired ps3 pad on ebay for £6 but don't want to waste money if it isn't going to work. -
Out of interest what are people using to connect a PS3 controller? The S3 has a micro usb and the controller has a mini usb right? I can't see any cables that do that online, so are you using an adapter? -

you need an OTG 'On The Go' host-mode cable to allow connecting full sized usb devices to your phone

Registered 19 years ago@Mr-Brett bought mine off Amazon for £1.50 (delivery included!). Do a search for OTG (on the go). It's made such a difference to the way I use my phone; read movies off my usb stick, play games with the PS3 pad, and use my mouse to play lemmings/XCOM on Dosbox Turbo. -

Cheers crash and kdsh7, I'll get one of those. I'm not super keen on the idea of plugging loads of things into my phone but sounds handy and is pretty cheap -

Registered 17 years agoSo I just got one of these tonight. Liking it so far, upgraded from an HTC Desire, although I preferred the look and interface of that. Anything I should know or do in the first instance before I'm fully up and running? -

Install nova. -
Looks likely I shall be allowed to update to jelly bean tonight. Any performance issues using it? -
Cheers good to know -

Registered 18 years agoI took the jump and ditched my iPhone 3gs for this one. Like Android so far although the interface is a bit cluttered compared to iOs. But that's a matter of adjusting. One super annoying bug though: at least ten times per day or sometimes even more often, I get an error message that reads: the process com.google. m.apps has stopped' and everything freezes for a second or three.
Supposedly a sync bug with Google calendar... Any tips? -

Registered 17 years agoYou didn't buy the "Weather and shit pub near your current location" widget though, did you? -
Supposedly it "learns" you but mines doesn;t do much apart from show me all the kebab shops near me.
It's also made just searching from the google bar quite slow given it takes about 3 seconds for it to do anything after you click search. -

But yeah, other than that it's just showing the weather and a shit random pub I've never been to. -

it's so thin! And the screen is huge. I'm typing this on it using the finger dragging method and it's crazy accurate! -

I really dislike the standard keyboard. I'm currently using Smart Key and it's great; I'll buy it when the free trial ends. -
