It might be when they try to start a mission or activity and it's blocked because there's someone in their game. They will get a message saying they've been invaded, even if you haven't started profiling or hacking them. Just a guess.

    You might be right.

I usually bail if I enter a game and the other player is crouching down on top of a high building/on a railway bridge/speeding away 1km+ with no intention of slowing up.

Yea I am finding myself thinking "fuck this for a lark" as he gets on a bike and rides off into the sunset. Alt-F4.

Is anybody else getting graphics glitches on the Xbone? Every couple of seconds the screen goes out of focus, which is rather annoying. Also, just had a cutscene conversation with Clara, except she wasn't actually there and Aiden was talking to thin air.

I've seen that too. It tells me the other player was 'aware'. In what way were they aware?? They hadn't scanned me and I hadn't started profiling/hacking them.
People are doing the pause trick, as soon as they know someone is around they speed off or hide up a building. Upload on xbox one even had a featured video showing people how it works.

It's not just that though, as the game wouldn't know they knew (if you catch my drift). The game only knows the invadee knows when it stops them from starting a mission.

Be it as it may, this design is bad and Ubi should feel bad!

Only way to reliably get your score up is doing races, which are actually quite fun. Online Decryption I haven't tried yet.

The pause / focus trick doesn't make a lot of difference to hacking but it's pretty much sunk tailing.

The biggest problem for me now is getting a match. Blume affiliate fishing is still pretty reliable but more and more often it fails to find a match through the phone alone.

The notoriety rewards are pitiful but I'm not too bothered about that.

So I finished this the other night. Quite a lot of fun but not as good as I expected. A solid 7/10 but no more. Theres a lot of potential for a sequel but I have to be honest and say that I didn't care for Aiden.
Fingers crossed there will be a WD2 where they really expand on the IP.

The Criminal Convoy side missions seem to suffer from the same problem as Deus Ex, they feel like they've been done by a separate team, the difficulty of some of them is way too high for a side mission and some seem to allow only one solution; so much for open-world. :|

    @X201
There was one particular Convoy that took me a good 10 goes. It was one where you had to knock 2 guys down but the convoy was full of really heavily armoured guys. You had to be really careful not just to blow everything up as you may end up killing the guys you are meant to knock down (which happened a lot!)

@X201 I absolutely love the convoy missions! I like the fact that they are fairly hard and very much failable.

I was actually inspired to do a share video of me constantly failing one just because I thought it was funny that I kept fucking it up.

@TheMilkman I unfortunately found them too repetitive. You could complete one in about 10 seconds by just using the grenade launcher. For the ones where you had to knock them down rather than kill then, simply park a car in the convoys path, wait for them to get out of their car, knock down/kill as necessary
They were fun to begin with but very much rinse/repeat.

That's one of the missions I've been having trouble with.

I'm actually amazed how passive they are in your video, I haven't been able to take a position to snipe at them as they just chase me relentlessly, and swarm around me from all sides when I try to hide behind anything.
And when I try blocking the route, they just reverse away and take a different route.

Well they do keep killing me to be fair. When I sniped them they did all rush up and kill me! My plan was to always flatten the tires on the main car so it couldn't get away. It just didn't work.

I've had success in the past were if you manage to get them between 2 blockers they will get out. I find it more fun to just go mental and blow everything up before sneaking round and taking them out though.

Guess I got quite lucky then, I pretty much used the same formula every time. Maybe that why I found them a bit repetitive. Should probably have mixed it up a bit!

Yeah, that sniper absolutely decimates cars. I think 3 shots will destroy a smaller vehicle.

I found a good technique was to take out the support vehicles with the grenade launcher (be careful not to hit the target vehicle) then just take down any stragglers. Sometimes easier said than done though.

@TheMilkman Great video :) There's a similar convoy where the body guards are all heavies which I haven't been able to finish yet. Tonight!

Raced through the last few story missions the other day with a view to trading this for Wolfenstein, but I can't bring myself to get rid of it because the online hacking is so much fun.

    An easy 8/10 for me.
  • Deleted user 11 July 2014 10:33:53
Finished the convoy missions last night. The last one was a bit of a bitch, took me 5 or 6 attempts. Also managed to get a gold medal on cash run. I've got 14 Fixer Contracts to go, and I still need to complete the drinking games (which I find quite tedious as they're so time consuming). After that I've got 3 ctos breaches, 2 qr codes, and then the only side stuff I'll have left to do are the rest of the investigation missions which haven't unlocked yet.

Tried Spider Tank for the first time yesterday, that was a lot of fun and got me a new outfit. Are there any rewards for the other digital trips?

Once I've done the above it's onto Act 2 Mission 11.

I'm still after 360/ps3 very surprised how well it is holding its rpp. Ubi stuff usually dies on its arse price wise, no matter of the quality. Oh well I can wait ;)

Em, when does that ever happen with Ubi games that aren't Rayman?

Only Activision games rival Ubi's for price-related stubborness. At least where I live, in the Midlands.

AC4 is still full price at £49.99 in every brick'n'mortar store here. Nuts :/

I think they all give a unique outfit. Alone certainly does which is the only one I've finished.

I like Spider Tank but I'm shit at it.

@ModishNouns I got the Alone outfit over the weekend. Had a lot of trouble to start with, until I realised that killing the robots is not the way to go.

I know outfits shouldn't matter that much, but only being able to choose from a selection of identical hats and trench coats, is really fucking lame.
