Registered 14 years agoI think FFVII can take anywhere between 20 and 100 hours depending on how much additional stuff you do.
My one and only playthrough was about 25 hours and that was pretty much the story only.
I have a mild desire to complete it fully but I did not enjoy it as much as everyone else. (This is probably as I played VIII and IX first). -

Registered 14 years agoFFIX is awesome.
I suspect it sold badly as people loved VII and were disappointed by VIII. So they decided not to play IX. -

Registered 17 years agoI didn't get on with VIII at all at the time so will give it another go. May stick it on the Vita later actually, I think I have the space (if I delete the Soul Sacrifice demo and Guacamelee first). -

Registered 17 years agoI've got both VII and IX on the Vita. Haven't played either (although I did play VII about 15 years ago) -

I loved VIII. I think it is fantastic. I generally get my characters to a stage where I have a load of magic so I can enjoy the fights, rather than endure them. -

Registered 16 years agoAnyone who can stand to play FFIX is a more patient person than me. I lasted a few hours before I'd had enough of every random encounter taking 15-20 seconds to get going. Ugh.
FFVIII is amazing, not least because you can manipulate the battle system to the point that you can finish the game without levelling up. I did a low-level run a couple of years back and it's amazing how ridiculously early you can become ridiculously overpowered. FUN. -

Registered 17 years agoFFVIII - I started it but there are some really lengthy pauses at some stages of dialogue. Very frustrating when you're trying to motor through a conversation. -
I got really far into FFVIII the last time I played but once again just stopped and never went back. Just the damn shitty magic system ruined it for me. -
I wish I could experience FF VIII for the first time again, loved every minute of it. Well maybe except for that side-story with three soldiers, which I didn't. Should have added, completed it twice but it was on the PS1.
Anyway, I made some progress with FF VII and it started to look kinda interesting. Would like to move the plot significantly forward, but this sunny and hot weather certainly doesn't help me game enthusiastically.
26 degrees today with the sky clear as the one in Sega games.
In fact I can only force myself to start gaming after sunset...

Registered 18 years agoInterested in the Res Evil pack for £12, but it doesn't mention Vita. BUT if you go to the individual games, they do have Vita listed.
Anyone have the Res Evils playing on Vita? -

Not sure, was browsing the store yesterday and saw it as a separate pack. Not in a promotion or anything.

Registered 15 years agoIf they had added Save States to the Vita ps1 emulator I'd probably buy that but the Resi save system is just infuriating. -

Registered 15 years agoSave states are cheating. If you can't get through a Resi game the normal way, well then you shouldn't be able to get through a Resi game.

It shows as working on the Vita on my store. Also, I remember someone breaking the news about this finally being compatible with the Vita a while ago on here. It was a big deal.
