    Jack vance.  The demon princes.

    Great old school sci fi that is far to often overlooked.

    @wobbly_Bob

    Revenger was a cool SF book that has a nice Treasure Island feel to it.

    Jack Vance is fantastic. His Lyonesse trilogy is terrific fantasy too.

    I've been reading the Chronicles of the Black Company by Glen Cook and it's excellent. It's dark and gritty fantasy like Joe Abercrombie or Mark Lawrence. The main characters are in a mercenary company under contract to their world's dark lord (lady here). It's well written and moves along at a good pace.

    Can someone recommend me a decent AI/robot book similar to DEUS EX games or IROBOT potentially?

    I hear life 3.0 is very good but its more of a factual read.
