@huh_what P&R is fucking grand! One of the best US comedies I've seen in yeeears. And it's a toss up between Pratt's Andy and the majestic Ron Swanson for greatest character. |

I was the same with season 1 on my first binge watch of the show, second time around watching it was more enjoyable though, and it's only 6 episodes, so it's done with pretty quickly anyway.
I keep telling my mates to watch the show, warning them that the first batch of episodes isn't the best indicator of how good it actually gets, and the big twats still give up on episode 4. :/
Yet the dopey shits friggin love HIMYM.. -

I thought he was skipping Age of Ultron and will be the big baddie of Avengers 3. Though I guess he'd be in AoU at some capacity at least, even if just as another end credits scene.

I'm always tempted to start reading some of the comics of these films but then I worry it'd ruin the movie as I'd be noticing every inconsistency. -

Hmm, this is exactly what I did. I've filed it under 'Poor Man's The Office'. So I should persevere?

Registered 17 years agoAs far as the tone of the trailer goes, I certainly wasn't expecting it to be like that. It's brilliant. Although Marvel said there were going to make it light hearted and go "Star Wars' with it, this is a bit more than that.
Very much reminded me of Serenity. -

Yay for Andy, weird to see him in Zero Dark 30 too..
Parks and recreation is the best comedy ever from partway through season 2 onwards. Series one isn't great. -

He apparently pretty much announced he was a major marvel character in the guardians credits at a recent firefly panel thing....apparently,

Registered 11 years agoAfter he was asked if he was in GotG. Fillon replied
"Wanting to? Or maybe, did?" "I'm just sayin' maybe. Maybe there'll be a surprise. Maybe check the credits after the movie when you watch it."
So he is in the after credits clip, or he plays such a minor role in the film only way of knowing is to check the cast list in the credits
The teaser -

Registered 17 years agoIs Dr. Strange even anywhere ready to go? It's part of phase 3 but if there IS something in the GOTG credits, it'll be just a scene with him looking ermm...strange? -

Plus he is still busy with his Castle TV show. So not much time for a major film project. Probably just appear as his firefly character in a blink and you miss it role -

Registered 10 years agoCurious that ign have put a video up all about dr strange this weekend, can't see why BUT "strange" that this story is also doing the rounds. Were they expecting an announcement but weren't able to say themselves? Just speculating of course...... -

Looking good. Quite interesting that my two most anticipated movies of 2014 (the other having been The Lego Movie) feature Chris Pratt as the lead. -

Registered 16 years agoI dunno, I'm just not feeling it with that new trailer. I'm hoping I'll enjoy the film, it's got a great cast and James Gunn could end up being an inspired choice to direct such a relatively odd Marvel property.
Although it wouldn't surprise me if this ended up being one of Marvel's first 'flops'.
Sure it'll make a few hundred mill, but I can't see it troubling the billion mark like a lot of their recent flicks have. -

Registered 18 years agoAs a fan of the comics that trailer ticked all kinds of nerd boxes. Knowhere was in there for crying out loud! Hopefully Cosmo the telepathic russian space dog will still be running the place*

So they're introducing Celestials to the movie universe? Interesting.
Looks great fun. I don't think they're planning on it breaking a billion, I'd hope the Marvel execs are smart enough to have tempered their expectations. It may not do big business but I can't see it being a flop either.
