    In 1935, two Russians on assignment from Pravda buy a car and go cruising across America.

    It's really nice about the Americans and pokes some gentle fun at them as well.

    Notice that the Russians are already interested in Roswell ;)

    "This type of road has its own special designation—scenic road—painterly road. Such roads are laid out with a special aim: to show nature to the traveler, so that it will not fall to his lot to scramble up cliffs in search of a proper observation point, so that the necessary quantity of emotion may be obtained without getting out of the automobile."

    That's not at all how you'd imagine Pravda to do a story on the US in 1935.

    It's also amazingly spot on. The last photo and comment really does summarise the place.
