How are your book sales doing? -

Registered 18 years agoWell I won't be giving up my day job any time soon .gif)
From what I've seen from other indie authors it takes a few books before you start building decent sales.
I'm trying a few promotional experiments to see what happens, unfortunately the experiment in advertsing isn't off to a good start.
My blog traffic is pretty good though. Apparently everyone's sales are down, it'll be interestin to see if they pick up at all in September.

Registered 15 years agoHmmm, is that down to economic conditions or the nice weather do you think?
Reading a good book in the sunshine is ace though! -
Good stuff sir.
Using "For years" twice in the description hurt my brain. -

I think the olympics has impacted sales. I'm fairly knew to this so who knows? -
Almost everyone agrees that June, July and August are the lowest months for book sales, especially if it's either nice weather or a big event like the Olympics or World Cup or something. It troughs out around mid-September then climbs again for Autumn and Winter. -
Only just found your thread, that's super awesome though, what a fantastic achievement, well done! Will check out your book -

Registered 17 years agoSome weird spacing going on there TH. IN the second half the questions are glued to the paragraph answering the previous question and then there's a bit of space before the actual answer to the question follows. -

Please fix the typo, it just makes people want to stop reading when there's mistakes on the first line.
Sorry to be that guy; I'm coming down off three months of editing and my reflexes kick in on this kind of stuff. -

I'm hoping they've sent the same recommendation to other people.

Registered 17 years agoYour third question isn't bolded and lost in the answers of the 2nd and 3rd question (one long paragraph).
This one:
As well as an author you are also an accomplished artist, does your painting compliment your writing? Are they very separate, or does one inspire the other?
Same for the very last one actually:
Tell us about your latest work and how we can learn more.

Registered 18 years agoCool, I'm glad you enjoyed it. If you'd be kind enough to leave a review on Amazon (or anywhere else for that matter!) that would be appreciated.
The Cult of Me is the first in a trilogy. I'm in the middle of the first draft of the sequel at the moment.
Thanks for reading
