Since this seems to be the done thing here, let me introduce my debut novel:![]() The blurb: --- I can’t die, at least, not in the traditional sense. Every time I’m killed, I wake up with a new body, in the same place. Over and over and over again. How did I discover this? I was forced to kill myself by the evil bastard who I used to call my boss. He knew the struggles I was facing, and he exploited them. But he didn't know I would be coming back. This is my story. This is my revenge. This will not end well. ---- As you can see, it's a dark revenge thriller. Want an idea of the style? You can read a sample on amazon's page, or perhaps watch the trailer: I don't really understand the point of book trailers, but I was told to make one, so there it is. Kindle owners (or even non-kindle owners who have a kindle app) head here. For the paper-lovers (or tree-haters?) there is also a paperback version available on amazon.co.uk which can be found here. Be sure to switch to the GBP store at the bottom of the page! Finally, there is a giveaway of the paperback on Goodreads which is ending on the 31st. Feel free to abuse, criticise, or simply speak your mind in here. I'd love to hear any feedback ![]() Thanks for reading! Edited by funkstar at 20:20:35 01-08-2012 |

I've bought a copy in return and finally got round to buying meme's while I was at it.
If you haven't already check out the Kindle Users Forums (http://www.kuforum.co.uk/kindleusersforum/), the official Amazon forums are a bit hostile to new authors, but these are more receptive as long as you follow the rules. -

Good job! We're springing up EG indie authors like wildfire. Maybe we should have our own group. -

Yeah, I figure a group for published or attempting-to-publish authors would be decent - separate from the writer's group so we can dispense advice on publishing, editing etc rather than just critique. I'll set it up. -

I'd be interested to hear the results of your marketing experience - will there be another post on the blog about it? -

Registered 18 years agoOh yes. I'll be posting in a few days about how the paid advertising has gone. Sometime soon I'll give a free day a try.
I'll also add a page to collate the various marketing posts.
I also need to get started on the paperback, but I'm waiting for a proofread before I start on that. -
Good stuff. How are sales going? -
Slow at the moment but fairly consistent... I'm moderately happy given that it's the wrong time of year for book sales and I haven't had any coverage as yet (TH's was my first posted), but I have a few interviews and book reviews due over September - October and my giveaway on goodreads had good interest. Of course it's tough to really gauge how many pageviews each of these sites generate, but I figure any extra exposure can't hurt!
Short version - hoping things will pick up when the coverage increases. Everyone (so far) who has read the book say they really enjoyed it so fingers crossed
