Like a mix-up of Arkham Asylum combat, Mirror's Edge free-running and Deus Ex styling. Could be interesting, but there's some diabolic voice work in that trailer and the character models look a little ropey up close. -

That would hardly be a tragic loss

Registered 11 years agoRelease set for May 2013 apparantly. Seems early

Looks nice, I like the futuristic Blade Runner-y theme. Hints toward Inception in the music, and also reminds me of The Fifth Element. -
The female acrobatics reminded me of PN03 a tad. Just worried it may not live up to its image, but could do. -

But yeah, I'd have been less surprised if those umbrella stalks lit up. Thematically I'm expecting at least a nod towards Total Recall, and Dick's original short story, We Can Remember It For You Wholesale. -

Registered 13 years agoIt looked really, really, dire at the Expo. Still, it's early days, but there was a distinct atmosphere of "meh" at the dev talk. -

Registered 17 years agoI think it looks like s good concept but the execution will let it down. Especially with the tough competition in the open-world genre this generation. -

Registered 20 years agoAh, didn't notice it at the Expo? Was it in the 18's area? Cos I didn't spend much time in there (either they were games I didn't care for, or the queues were too long, or both). -

Registered 13 years agoThere was a brief dev talk (I don't think it was advertised?) shortly before the EG review panel.
You can sort of see what they want to do with it, with being able to create your own combos on the fly, but the whole thing just doesn't seem to work. A free-flowing combat game should be exactly that - free-flowing. But this system they've implemented means you need to constantly be going in and out of menus in the middle of combat to customise your combos on the fly.
The artstyle wasn't much to write home about either.
Still though, it's early days. It just felt to me like one of those things that sounds good on paper, but works terribly in practice. I'll be surprised if it actually doesn't get canned before release.

Yeah... that voice acting is utterly terrible. -

Registered 18 years agoHow spoilery is it? GT are bloody awful for giving stuff away. There again i don't watch movie trailers anymore for the same reason. -

Registered 13 years agoSo I had a quick go on this at The Gadget Show as Capcom have a stand there. Really wasn't impressed, the horrendously long loading times didn't help, so I hope they aren't a feature of the full game. -

How's the combat and movement? Looks very stiff in the previews. Not very impressive at all.
