I was hoping this would be a good substitute for Oenden or Elite Beat Agents which I loved back in the day. Based on the demo it doesn't seem to have half the charm and the music is terrible in comparison.

The core gameplay is definitely there though. Is the full game any better?

@L0cky The full game (minus DLC) gives you just over 30 tracks and access to the diva rooms which allow you to interact with the modules (characters) and decorate the rooms with items from the shop (using points you get in the game). You can also buy costumes in the shop (again with the points from the rhythm game) and use them in the rhythm game.

If you have a lot of time/patience, there's also an edit mode where you can create your own level from your music and modify the module's movements. You can send these on to others but they'll need the exact same song for it to work in the game.

The music might be your biggest problem though. There was one song that sold me on the game which was on the PS3 demo (aside from Worlds End Dancehall):

Not all songs will be to everyone's tastes (Menacholist from the Vita demo has dug itself into my brain though) but in general I've liked what I heard, though I only played Elite Beat Agents from the two you mentioned.

This game kicks my arse. Can't decide if DYE or Secret Police is my favourite. The DYE backing track belongs in an ARPG boss fight.
