And the award for the amp most likely to go into thermal shutdown goes to Nemesis and his diddy Yamaha. ;)

Tiny ickle sub and speakers tho. Nice choice of object for size comparison as well.

Not a lot you can do apart from move the projector closer to the display wall. You cannot make the image any smaller? It is ceiling mounted?

You can make the image smaller but the entire projection stays the same size (therefore pixels are more visible). It's gonna have to go on the coffee table I think. I might try the ceiling but the people who lived there before me put that artex shit everywhere so it's uneven and crumbly :(

I'm well pleased with the Kef speakers. The amp still has massive cooling grills to the sides and a bit of clearance to the top. The only issue with the Tosh telly is the bloody stand. The bottom section of the TV sits in a 1inch groove in the stand so you can't just swap the stand out.

Hence the creative stacking and changing of DVD player to a slimline one.

Mr Sleep, you can pick up decent brands floor standers for less than £200. Or even end of line and discounted models for £140 from Richer Sounds. Electronics wise I would generally avoid Richer Sounds but for end of line speaker deals they are usually unbeatable on price.
Might be worth a look then, I don't want any big hulking units but the right size might fit perfectly. I've not got the most easily alterable space either. 3 doorways out of the room after all.

A lot of floor standers are the same width depth as the standmounters in the same range.

Some floorstanders are tiny in width and depth as the volume(cm3 not loudness) is achieved by the height of the cabinet.

Height might be as much an issue, I might have to seriously consider moving it all around. Thanks for all the speaker advice this might be even more to consider than the amp.
