| Incidentally for a double post - I finally managed to get around to clean reinstalling Windows 7. My god, the performance difference is astonishing. I'm up to medium at 30fps where last week it was more like 25 on low. |

Registered 10 years agoClean reinstall is nearly always a good thing. I've done one tonight as well after installing the new motherboard and cpu. PS2 runs fine again, at last! -

I killed someone! I don't think I ever managed that on Planestide. Even on mostly low settings it's quite pretty and runs well.

Enjoyed attacking the base on that ridge after our transport plane crash landed, felt like a proper action behind enemy lines, even if it mainly involved me hiding behind a tree before rushing out every so often to try an repair our Maxes or drop ammo. Don't think I fired a bullet before we broke their line and entered the base. -
I died so many times.

Registered 13 years agoGot some good footage last night of the UBADS on last night on twitch but managed to delete it while making highlights to post on here.Never mind , really was good stuff.
The team work was fantastic with everybody at least listening on comms and anybody who was just typing people were telling orpheus what was being said so hopefully that helped him a bit.
I was on to about 9.20 ish and the defence of that ridge place on indar was immense. It was like a constant onslaught ! -
Was that the desert place? That was fun. -

Was good fun last night. Redsparrows, you'll find it begins to click after 10 hours or so. I've played for around 40 hours and still feel fairly new to it.
The funniest moment was watching me and the other AI max nearly get run over as we stood on the vehicle spawn pad. What a glorious way to go...

Had a great moment earlier. Spawned at west highlands checkpoint to find 2 guys on the point. Killed them both, then switched to engy to repair the generator. Whilst I was doing that, two mosquitos landed on the point. Went to the spawn room again, switch to HA. One saw me coming, managed to land a rocket hit anyway to kill him, the other got away. Turned the point back and noticed the enemy had a spawn beacon so hid a little away from the point. Waited for it to turn enemy again, then killed the two guys capping it. Other mosquito came back, managed to kill that with a rocket as well.
Then an enemy sunderer deploys, and right as I think I'm screwed in my one man defence... a friendly gal flies over and drops a full squad in the base. Felt awesome. -
My playtime has dropped dramatically in the last month, my NC outfit have pretty much given up playing. The game is a black hole of imbalances that could be alleviated by some minor data fixes.
The devs are on twitter, facebook, reddit and the forums harping on about changes soon to come but never mention NC balance issues, the NC population has been decimated, they don't even bother with Amerish or Esamir any more, just an occasional push to The Crown before being killed back to our warpgate.
I spent money on Alpha Squad and Station Cash that I used to unlock weapons that are useless like the Jackhammer and Mustang AH or simply far less effective than the other empires equivalents.
I can fast feel an uninstall coming on. -

Registered 12 years agoI really like the NC weapons generally. I always pick vanu weapons that behave more like NC ones (lower fire rate, more recoil, more damage). -
I have heard that jack hammer is dog shit , the vanu lasher seems to marmite , either love or hate . I personally love it . You on the miller server el Merko ?
