Summer Sale, don't get your hopes up though. Seems like a case of fool me 17 times shame on you, fool me 18 or more times shame on me. |

Registered 12 years agoA full update later today but bear in mind that Ten By Eight is looking like the stand out title this week. Not enough time to go through everything. -

Registered 11 years agoTen by eight looks like a good puzzle game with a pleasing art style and will probably scratch the same sort of itch as Yu-Nama by the look of it.
Roll in the Hole by Chillingo is also out, which was a successful game on iOS. Can't imagine many wanting to play it on Vita but there you go. -

Registered 12 years agoRight, it's that time again (only 10 hours later). First off, we have the delayed release of Roll in the Hole, which forces you to roll a panda and chase a gorilla into a hole to retrieve his ice creams. There's also iBomber Defense, which is a tower defence game.
This week's starlet is Ten by Eight, which is a puzzle game where you swap loads of tiles and then destroy the chain in classic big point puzzle style. You can find more on the game here.
Oh, and a moment of silence for the old PSPminis site, which is being retired. After the minis program failed to take off, they tried to cover PSM titles. The website and it's reviewers have now called it a day.
31st July 2013
Games
Roll in the Hole - £1.19
iBomber Defense - £2.19
Ten by Eight - £2.39 -

Registered 11 years agoThat's a shame. I can't say I visited much but they were good for the occasional review of a PSM game. If they had really upped the coverage of PSM games ensuring there was a full review of every title I could have seen them finding muted success.
Hopefully TheVitaLounge will take up the mantle of reviewing PSM titles.
Jonsaan has 10x8 so hopefully he will post his review soon. -

Registered 12 years agoJust 2 games out this week. Little Acorns is the final game from Chillingo to be released for the time being. The game looks to be a cute little platform game with squirrels. The other release is Shuttle Quest 2000, a side-scrolling shooter from Thomas Hopper which is an action RPG shooter with GameBoy styled graphics. The game's first chapter of 8 is free to play. The rest of the game will cost about £3.49.
7th August
Games
Little Acorns - £1.19
Shuttle Quest 2000 - FREE (with IAP unlock)

Registered 11 years agoShuttle Quest sounds interesting, I'll try that later.
I refuse to buy any of Chillingo's games as I don't believe in free2pay so they won't be getting a penny from me. Have they even added controller support? -

Registered 12 years agoRight, I'm late again but mainly because someone updated Adventure Bar Labyrinth on me and I tried (and failed) to find out what was fixed .
Three games out this week, starting with AikTheBarbarian, a very bizarre err blob moving game? There's also an Instant Memory Test, a basic form of Brain Training. Finally, there's Shooting *Featured, a shooter that only uses one button apparently. It's free to play.
Oh, and there's a new Scientific calculator app out, which allows you to do chemical and engineering calculations!
Oh, and if anyone is worried about grabbing stuff and wondering about quality, do follow @psnstores on Twitter. They do a live stream every Wednesday evening (UK time) and go through most of the released games.
The live stream link is [link=http://www.twitch.tv/psnstores">here and previous demonstrations can be found on -

Registered 12 years agoAgreed picbox is rather good. Little Acorns should be a full vita title with trophy support. it's a very polished offering. Still really enjoying it. -

Registered 12 years ago@martinthemonkey yes. It's good. Quite a slow paced, contemplative game, but it's a good one. -

Registered 12 years agoThree new games out this week - well, 2 actually.
First off is one to AVOID. Last week saw the release of Aik the Barbarian, and this week sees the release of Aik Commando, which looks slightly different to their previous game, which apparently is a copy off one of the examples in the PSM SDK. Make sure you understand what you're about to get yourself into before you buy.
Also out today is Touch speed fighter, which requires 2 people to play with their fingers on the touch screen - I think? This week's potential hit game is Magic Planet Snack Deluxe. It looks to be a scrolling "eat-em-up" where you're a wizard turned into a snake. You can find out more here (be warned that sound plays automatically when the website opens - which is hugely annoying).
21st August 2013
Games
Aik Commando - £4.79
Touch Speed Fighter - £0.40
Magic Planet Snack Deluxe - £3.39

Registered 11 years agoI wish PSM games were a bit cheaper. I'm happy to take a risk for under £1.50 but the recent trend of pricing games around £3.50 is a bit much. -

Registered 12 years agoJust 2 games out this week though still a vast improvement on last week.
Reflection Speed Game is a game where you test your reaction speeds against a friend. Meanwhile, Unicorn Savior appears to be a shooter where the player can't move and you have to use the correct bullets at the correct enemies to kill them.
The only other tidbit you may not have heard is that the PSM developer's fee offer (free for the first year) has been extended for an unknown amount of time. So if you're looking to develop on PSM, you have more time to decide now!
4th September 2013
Games
Reflection Speed Game - £0.65
Unicorn Savior - £2.99

Registered 12 years agoA huge number of PSM games out this week - unfortunately, 90% (maybe even 100%) of them come with the warning that they're reskins of the SDK demos. I'm talking of Alien Domination, Alien Mission, Alligator of the Caribbean, Apocalypse Revelations, Athenian Warrior and Attack of the Black Widow. You're also advised to be wary of Animal Crush, which looks like a re-skinned version of the Match 3 demo (possibly).
That leaves poor Hills of Glory: WWII as the sole "proper" representative on PSM this week. It looks like a port from Android/iOS but with an exclusive character. At least it's cheaper as well.
Oh, and Picbox has had an update with over 100 puzzles added in - and the price of the full game has dropped! No idea what to but if the price drop entices people to buy then the game will remain at that price. Remember that the base game is still free with a good amount of puzzles to play. Mononoke Slashdown has also been updated but I have no idea what's been added.
11th September 2013
Games
Hills of Glory: WWII - £1.59
Other stuff - between £4 and £6 -
I got the notification that the PlayStation Mobile runtime update had been downloaded, but I can't seem to trigger the installation of it. I've tried rebooting and going through the settings menu to select it, but all it says is it has been downloaded - it never seems to install it.
Anyone got any ideas?
