Am I the only person who's having the problem of text spilling out?

Specifically the "ignore poster" button being too far to the right and covering the info in the right hand column (Latest files/screenshots etc).

/further reduces his chances of ever winning an EG competition

No, it's the same here. The text is pretty chaotic at the moment.

Yup I'm getting it too, sometimes whole words such as "do" and "it" are being obliterated off the page by the big latest comments/files/screenshots bullies.

/watches text cower as latest files takes "it"s lunch money and gives it a wedgy

    /guffaws all macho style

    Hur-hur, dweeb!

Sorry, erm, I'm using IE at college if that's any help.

I just started a thread and I can't see it. I can also only see posts that people have made recently in this thread, not in any others. So it looks like the forum is completely dead. Is there anything funny going on?

Angel, Check the 'filters' pull down. I confused myself for a while by accidentally filtering the forum.

Its seems to get a little screwed when I restrict the browser width and then view another thread.

It would be if you painstakingly took all the biscuit/cake and chocolate off and held it up to a light like a small wobbly medal of pedantry. =)

You sick bastard! To even think of treating a Jaffa Cake in such a way turns my stomach. ;-)

Hmm teabreak time, I wonder if the canteen has any JCs in stock...

    Request:

Can we have 'RPG' and 'Survival Horror' categories?

    Ta.

Thoughts after 5 minutes of being aware of the changes:

I like a lot of this. It should make the forum much more useable for people looking for specific information. And in terms of the Eurogamer business, should provide good information about how we use the forum, and what improvements can be made in future.

I fear I will miss the wide-open aspect of the old style and not know where to look for Stevas/Peej/Blerk/M_H/Nem style amusement, but I reckon that'll change rapidly.

Can I be a bit of an arse-licker and say "Well done" ? It takes guts to hold your breath and press the "change" button, and it looks like you've done a good job. So far.
    :-P

Just pray no one sticks "filter by user" in! ;)

Dunno if this has been mentioned, but 2 extra catagories you could do with:

    "Gaming - For sale"

    "non-gaming - For sale"

Gah how many categories for blethering do we need, how many topics are active in any of those categories at any given time? Make it 'Games' and 'Not Games'. The width given to these categories is too much, expecially for a non-expanding site.

Personally I think it's great to see all the problems in IE for a change.

Testing on Firefox, IE6, IE5.5 and a quick peek in Konqueror (which is based on the same renderer as Safari) shows no problems here! But if people experiencing problems could send exact browser configurations and versions (including service packs) then maybe I can track down what's happening.

IE users could whack Ctrl-F5 and see if that helps.

To solve the misalignment all you need to do is add an align (valign="top") tag to the table but I imagine it's all coded in some fangled CSS stuff, so it probably wouldn't be that simple.

Still the same problem here - the grey lines are not exactly between posts, and the "ignore poster" is overlapping with the columns on the right.

    Windows 2000
