Registered 11 years agoI have to admit that my interest in this has died off when I heard that the live feed was on a 20 second delay in case anything goes wrong.
And I only watch formula 1 for the crashes, too. -

Registered 12 years agoI would have thought wind was the least of his worries to be honest. Maybe he's just decided he doesn't want to die? -

Registered 16 years agoI hope they haven't etched his name into the Darwin Award, if he does chicken out now.
If it was me, I'd struggle to jump off. I'd hide in the corner and just sneak off after it crashed. -

Registered 9 years agoThis is pretty interesting so far but all I keep thinking is just "JUMP JUMP JUMP JUMP DAMNIT!"
Although I am quite impatient. -
Aye, I'm in the same boat Slint. The ascent is slowing down now, think I'll keep it on in the background and check back for jump time. Looks a tad chilly that high up

Registered 13 years agoI think I read somewhere it's a two and half float to your doom, like the end of Angelheart in reverse basically. -

Registered 14 years agoExactly, so get someone who can fill one or two hours with some pseudo interesting waffle, can string sentences together smoothly and doesn't have a really annoying voice.
Any estimate on when the jump will be so I can ignore it until he actually does. -

Registered 13 years agoGet some test cricket commentators on there, they can waffle on about what they had for breakfast all the way until afternoon tea without even a whiff of action. -
83,000 feet. Getting closer now! -

I don't care how much of a daredevil he is, I bet he wants to shit his pants when he opens that door. -

Registered 8 years agoHe's now past the record height, right?
So unless he gets trapped in the capsule... he will still break the record for highest jump ever, even if he dies. -

Registered 13 years agoYup, he passed it a minute or so a go.
Does it actually count if he dies? -

Won't he be jumping around now if there is a 20 minute time delay on the video? In fact, won't he right at this moment be falling?
