Was really happy to hear it was first-person. Trying not to get too 'MUCH HYPE', at this stage
I didn't realise this was a first person perspective. Doesn't change the hype, but it does sort of sound like we're getting the Deus ex game that we always wanted.

I might replay Human Revolution. Mankind Divided smelled and can fuck off though.

Still remember first playing the original and getting off the boat at liberty island. Awwwww, the HYPE is real! -

First person perspective confirmed. Third got scrapped as one too many enthusiastic idea that bloated development. -

This E3 has really brought out the petty, whiny manbabies huh? -

I'm already noticing there's equally big manbabies now blindly defending the game, calling the other side idiots and applying "what about"isms.
I stand content in my level-headed enthusiasm for cyberpunk, without getting swept up. -

Registered 11 years agoSince it's one less vapid luxury than people expected. Surely a betrayal of unfathomable proportions and the game is irredeemably ruined now!
Next they'll be taking away the second-person and the game's ability to cure epilepsy.
These people should switch to Star Citizen. I hear it has EVERYTHING.

Are the rules any good?
So fucking tempted to find/start a Cyberpunk 2020 game.
I've been playing Wild West Cinema and Passion Des Pasions on my Rpg slate lately. Wild West Cinema is a a nice set of rules which is aching for a second revision to streamline combat rules.

Do you mean crazy bananas in "this is a sensible well presented rule set which allows players to build characters with many ways to creatively solve" or "Roll five D8 divide that number by D4 x 12.5% then square that number for your characters repair stat"? -

Yeah, I'm not about to claim it's a decision that'll lead to the greatest gaming experience of all-time despite not having played the game, or even seen gameplay, but the sheer amount vocally dismissing it as a 'no buy' is embarrassing.

E3 always brings the twats out, but I'm feeling a stronger wave of bizarre negativity for silly reasons in spite of amazing announcments this year than I can remember in the past. From making Sekiro instead of BB2, Nero looking slightly like DmC Dante and "where's Dante's red coat" (oh wait, it's right there), RE2 not having fixed cameras and updating the character models to modern standards (how dare they!)... all after one of the best E3's in a long time.
To be fair though, it's not that bad here. In fact it's why I'm back here, to take a rest from the hot take shitshows of elsewhere. -

Registered 17 years agoIt's all just the usual noise over change, people do not like change. What's bad is that it's now a lot easier to mouth off about it in visible places...
I'm sure CDPR expected some gnashing of teeth over it, however it's no less embarrassing to witness when you have a massive slew of first person games to evidence as "this is a good thing". -
I know that people like to know that games are in the works and that there are shiny things out on the horizon, but I fail to see the point of getting excited or worked up about a game that's (probably) at least 2 years away from release. -
Have to say this has gone to the top of my most wanted games.
Can't wait -
