Presumably you don't remember Get Stuffed!
Used to be on ITV at about 1am. Made typical student cookery look like Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons...

Registered 13 years agoNah. That's not going to happen.
I am breastfeeding though, which means I have an instant ~500 calorie debt each day. This can lead me into temptation. -

Registered 13 years agoFurther to a crazy suggestion to make a fried egg sandwich with a toasted teacake which turned up trumps, tonight we went further and made eggy bread with hot cross bus*. It was worryingly tasty.

This is the true Master Chef !
[not to be confused with the new Halo cooking program]
Once landed home after a few days away with nothing on the house bar two stale-ish slices of wholegrain bread and a tub (about 150 or 200g) of plain Philadelphia... this situation birthed a dish I called 'Philadelphia To The Max' that was basically the entire tub slapped between the two slices of bread.
Don't think I've had Philadelphia since. -

I've just had a "lack of taste" experiment more than anything else: baked middle-eastern HOT patatoes, with emphasis on HOT.
Basic baked spuds with some ras el hanout, coriander seeds, cumin and such.
However, for some ungodly reason I decided to toss in not only a very generous serving of dried chilies but also a generous tsp. of spanish ground hot spices.
I cried like a little girl.
I'll be making more tomorrow... -

Get Stuffed was awesome. I miss the slightly anarchic/ shit TV ITV put on when they went to 24 hour broadcasting. Except that is for James Whale, he was just a twat.

Almond butter on rice cakes. Fantastic.
Buy almonds, roast. Wait to cool. Blend until butter. Mega healthy and filling enough. Chop up a banana on top and you're laughing. -

Registered 16 years agoFlick some of your natural yoghurt into a bowl, add a healthy dose of cumin, put your meat in and give it all a good rub. -
Black pudding is absolutely vile.
