Guessing from the age of the last post here that dota2 isn't much loved on EG but for any one who hasn't heard yet Dota 2 is now out of beta and free for anyone to join :-)

Now it's 'out', can we try and play some EG 'scrub' matches, as Mr Tom suggested on the review thread?

I like MOBA, but really need some non-wanker chums to help me get into this, and I'd love to have some EG scraps.

It would be awesome. Ideally as matches are 5 v 5 we'd want 10 players who have absolutely no fucking clue what they're doing.

The game uses TrueSkill or some other ELO derivative right? We should be placed with people of equal-tardness.

Equal skill levels, yes. Equal level of manners, not so much. If I wanted to be called a rapist, I'd do more rapey things. I wouldn't forget to check the mini-map for a sec and let someone get a couple of easy hits on a turret crystal thingy.

I wouldn't mind getting involved in this. My playtime will be pretty limited though due to work and shoddy internet connections.

I'm totally up for some noob level DOTA 2. Tried to make sense of it a couple of times so far with little success. Had been meaning to check out the newly added tutorial to see if it helps at all.

The next couple of nights won't be good for me. My son's in hospital for an op today and tomorrow so I don't know what time I'll be home after visiting and I might have to disappear at a moment's notice.

Weekend evening sessions are usually right up my alley (phnarr) though.
