Tell you what, can we send *you* over *there* to help sort it out as you're such an expect on social reform? And you can't come back till you've sorted it. |

So you think they should stay there and risk rape, severe beatings, life imprisonment, being ostracised by the community and either murdered by a lynch mob or given a death penalty by the government?
What I am saying is, nothing will change in their country if they run away from the problems.
Don't be so daft. -

Registered 18 years agoOff topic, but there was an article about DR Congo in BBC News website's magazine recently: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-24396390
It is an interesting tale of a place that was not as brutal a few centuries ago and how its weaknesses have been exploited to leave it in its current predicament. -

Registered 13 years agoStephen Fry did a thing recently on Gay people in Africa as well recently in his two-part thing about global attitudes to homosexuality.
I while ago (last year?) that Radio 1 DJ bloke (no, not grimmy) did a docu there about it too. It's pretty damn horrific. -

Yea, Jews who fled from Nazi Germany didn't change anything there either. They should just stay there and do something about it.

This is a good point to think about if you've gone too far or if you're willing to go through with it. From my experience. -

Registered 9 years agoDefamation of character seems to be the norm here, so I should have guessed what would happen. Why else would I put tinfoil hat on a comment that I know is a contentious subject, even when people have cool heads? -

Saying deformation of character after insinuating Africans are going to come flooding over to the UK because of this ruling. Where's Ironoman? -

It's an option for them. I'm sure many will prefer to not run from their homes however. -
And who would want a flood of black homosexuals, I guess. -
TOO MANY GAYS AND BLACKS IN THE UK AS IT IS -

I do remember the vizzini-like (albeit brief) whinging in the XCOM thread. -
