I've got a G900 too. Best mouse I've had. Think G903 is latest version. They're a no brainer imo. So responsive even over wireless.

    ?!

Had no idea this was even happening. My excitement for the card has really evaporated. Still have my preorder but I've given up checking the daily situation.

The 903 is a bit chunky for fps type gaming, but it's fine otherwise, ~70g mice feel so nice to use, couldn't go back now.

@Tomo They seemed to have a fair few Ventus and Trios that were up for a least 5 minutes. They are due around 80 TUF next week at some point.

Getting fairly disillusioned with OverClockers to be honest. Taking money right up front, regardless of stock, still taking preorders (I find this the most baffling), seemingly having one of the worst stock allocations in the UK respite supposedly being one of the biggest suppliers... doesn't quite add up somewhere.

Started making more of a conscious effort at keeping an eye on stock elsewhere rather than just relying on climbing down a queue from 1018th place - a queue that's yet to receive ANY cards in a month.

Other places seem to have a more steady stream of stock, I really don't understand what the problem is with Overclockers.

I've fucked it all off and just decided to upgrade the pc instead.

I'll upgrade the GPU next year at some point

I ended up upgrading the pc apart from the cpu and motherboard, and sold the 1070, so I've got a PC that I can't use. Just going to check around a bit more and hopefully drop on, other than that, overclockers have 700 quid for the privilege of being in a queue that's only moved due to people leaving it.

If anyone upgrades to Zen 3 and wants to offload a 3600 for a decent price send me a pm, I'm going to sort my brother out a pc for Xmas.

That would be madness no? Itís not like a 3600 is going to be a bottleneck anytime soon

I'm trying to build a PC right now and more or less decided on a 3600 too. I've tried searching to see if 3700x might improve anything for VR (I've got an Oculus Rift for now, but can see myself upgrading in a year or two). Does anyone know if the 3600 would cut it with a 3080 or nearest AMD equivalent for VR ? I couldn't even find any recent CPU benchmarks for VR.

I personally wouldn't if it was intended for gaming only. But looking at various other forums there is quite a few moving from 3600 to 5800x that I've seen. Haven't seen much interest in the 5600x funnily enough.

I have a 3600 and 2070 Super and had no trouble with Half Life Alyx, if that helps at all.

I have a 3600 paired with an 5700XT and works fine in VR, my particular MSI version is a bit loud but performance wise cannot complain about the 5700XT. And in general feel like the 3600 is never held me back, so CPU wise see no reason to upgrade beyond that at this moment.

While the 3600 is great for now, I worry that future engines (UE5) will be built on, and run better, on octa-core CPUs like the ones in the PS5 and SX.

However, by the time it becomes truly important, I imagine we'll be upgrading our CPUs anyway.

And not to mention that for no motherboard is a 3600 the highest you can go. Can always chuck in a Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 9 (depending on quality of board) later on, even on a X370.

@Sharz funny you mention the X370, as I had been thinking of starting with a cheaper/older mobo to go with the 3600 until the zen 3 stuff is a bit better value (the price of the 550/570 boards I'd want are £180-£200, which might be a 'waste' of £100+ that could go towards a better GPU). I was initially thinking I'd spend a bit more on all components but I'm sure if I was already on an x370/470 with a 3600 then I can't imagine I'd feel the need to upgrade right away. And if the AMD gpu release is only half as bad as Nvidia then I might also go with a 5700XT until availability improves next year

    @TheBlackDog
I wouldn't reccommed a X370 in 2020 for a new build. Was more referring to what people might have already or lying around. While X370s work fine with Zen 2, and are perfectly stable now you may still get an odd memory incompatibility not to mention no support for Zen 3.

I originally had X370 with 1600, my ram was stuck at 3200mhz. Now with 3600 and ram runs at 3466mhz. Which sounds good except the ram is rated for 3600mhz. Wouldn't be an issue with B550/X570. So i guess depends on how much you want to save money or what you have available.

Also see this thread on the older boards, make sure you get a 'good' one that can handle beefy chips if needed.

Even though I got away with it (my 3090 arrived within 24 hours), I've seen enough that I won't be using Overclockers again. The way they've handled pre-orders and the queue has been an absolute shitshow and some of the customer relations stuff on their forum has been disgraceful. Gibbo seemed to be doing his best for the first few days but now just comes over as glib and dismissive - not a good attitude to take with people who have essentially just given you an unsecured, interest free loan.

@Sharz agreed re: the X370 and thanks for that link. A decent mobo might be the thing I end up paying up for now. Sounds a bit stupid but I've got it in to my head I'd like one with WiFi 6, as I used to use live plugs to get ethernet to my PC at the top of the house. Problem is they used to drop out every few hours, requiring a 'turn it off and on again' on the liveplug.

My new work laptop has WiFi 6 and its rock solid and fast at downloading massive files from the work network while I've been working from home. If wifi6 on these mobos are as good, that would save me buying a mesh thing to avoid ethernet/home plugs/etc.

You can easily add WiFi capability to any motherboard so i wouldn't let that hold you back if i was you.

The 3080 was for a bit yeah. Missed it myself, but was there for 5 mins or so looking on OcUK.

Ironically the first time I've looked on OcUK for a little while and if I'd been on there 15 mins earlier I'd have snagged one. Sigh.

Was checking OCUK forum to check for an update on my TUF and saw that the FE 3080 was on sale at scan.

Managed to snag one at 13:27!

    Will cancel my TUF now.
