There are videos doing the rounds of the racist abuse he's suffered, but it's more then that - hence the examples I posted above. Davie Provens article basically suggests that if he doesn't like it he should leave the country, that is racist!!

To be honest mate I'm struggling to accept that you're really against sectarian behaviour because you're forever using a term on here that a lot of protestants find offensive.

I already said that I disagreed with DP, I don't see what's rascist about it.
He's saying that as a high profile Celtic or Rangers player you will always get shit, it's part of the job. I don't like his mentality but I don't see whats racist about it.

    What term is that?
  • Deleted user 11 February 2020 16:42:08
He's saying that in the light of Morelos saying he's suffered racist abuse. That's what's racist about it.

You're constantly calling people Huns on here.

"Hun" isn't sectarian, it's a term used purely to refer to Rangers fans and implies no religion. Are all the protestant fans of other Scottish clubs that use the term, being derogatory to themselves?
  • Deleted user 11 February 2020 17:18:33
I suppose it depends who you ask, I'd say a lot of people would find it sectarian, particularly in Northern Ireland.

    @AaronTurner
Rangers have lost a couple of crucial games recently, not normally the end of the world but have coincided with a Celtic run of consistent winning hence the gap opening up.
What do you think is to blame?
I'm not taking the piss, the league is far from over and I don't really have faith in Lennon. I'm curious as to what a Rangers fan thinks.
  • Deleted user 13 February 2020 19:00:09
Last night the referee was to blame.

Alfie was called a b**** b******* clear as day on the telly again.

Is this the "clear as day" racism?
  • Deleted user 13 February 2020 21:38:47
Yes, but whatever the record has done to it is weird, not sure they even highlighted the right bit to be honest there.

They scored an illegal goal and we got a goal chopped off that was fine.

Sorry mate, Morelos clearly pushes him for your "fine" goal.

Hopefully the twat that shouted will be caught and banned.

Killie goal looked fine to me too, ball didn't touch his arm.
  • Deleted user 13 February 2020 22:42:47
The Killie handball is blatant, totally blatant, don’t know how you can’t see that. And if Morelos fouls for that goal then we deserved two penalties considering what happened before in the match.

Be interesting to see what someone neutral thinks.
To me the ball went just over his arm, the trajectory doesn't change whatsoever.

Well, that’s Hearts fucked now. I honestly don’t know what’s wrong with us this year. On paper we should be fine, in practice we are hopeless. The rot set in half way through last season, but we had made a great start and it disguised the problem. Since this season began, we have been stuck right in a relegation scrap and we don’t have the stomach for it.

Hamilton and St Mirren are fighting for their lives most years. We aren’t and we are incapable of doing it. It will take a bloody miracle to save us now.

You know things must be rough when Donald fucking Findlay is criticising Rangers lol: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52495648

What a mess. Though I'm really struggling to give two shits about football right now, every possible course of action here seems pretty dire.

Me too, CGAF but I too engage in a bit of schadenfreude at the state of Rangers.

    Haha, I saw that.
    I'll miss his endless whataboutery.
Shame tbh, rather he as still here, as ridiculous as his arguments could be at times.

Though I have absolutely no love for Neil Doncaster, it was rather delicious hearing him hand Tom English his proverbial arse on BBC Sportsound. Can not stand TE; an absolute bellend.

He is a bellend at times, and takes an unholy glee in ripping into the rugby team after every bad result. But I’d much prefer to hear about him ripping Doncaster a new one than vice versa. It is unbelievable that Doncaster is still in a job after how badly he fucked up the demise of Rangers. He talked down the product he was supposed to promote so badly that the SPL had no main sponsor for 3 years. FFS, he was the one who warned of ‘social unrest’ if they weren’t given a nice soft landing. That would be bad enough coming from someone who grew up steeped in the only-two-clubs-matter environment of the West of Scotland. Doncaster isn’t even bloody Scottish.

Totally agree with how bad he handled it and many other things but he demonstrated today that he's not (always) an idiot whereas Tom English clearly is. It was beyond cringeworthy to listen to the clown desperately and obsessively repeat over and over the same questions and slapped-down points.

BTW is there anyone in Scottish football (apart from Rangers fans) who aren't amazed at just how much of an arse Rangers are making of themselves?

I agree completely, mate. But, ironically, it is the likes of Tom English that are culpable in this mess: the Scottish MSM has been truly negligent in holding the governing bodies to account for their gross incompetence over the years.

The cynic in me feels that it is purely a token gesture to satisfy the even more moronic fringe of their support. Sadly, Celtic also sometimes cater to that segment, which frustrates me greatly--though nothing quite to this extent in my lifetime, that I recall at least.

The problem is going to be that Rangers have been very specific about having a dossier of evidence. They are going to look like fucking mugs if it doesn't materialize, but then again Traynor may well marshal his minions to ensure that small fact doesn't garner too much attention on the back pages.

    Aaron re-reg in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... :)

The absolute state of this: https://twitter.com/rangersfc/status/1258358544870580225?s=21

Imagine thinking that the tone and language used in this, not to mention the as of yet spurious allegations, is professionally appropriate enough to disseminate through your official comms channels. If Rangers are privy to such information then it needs to be brought forward.

The utter state of it, all because they are running out of cash and know they can't win the league.
    Dignified?

So this is what the BBC are reporting that Rangers finally circulated (and are claiming) yesterday: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52571770

Here’s the Guardian piece as well now: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/may/07/rangers-claim-spfl-tried-to-influence-uefa-into-allowing-early-end-to-season

SPFL already rubbishing it, but we’ll see what the other clubs make of it.
