Well for a start no you aren't reading me correctly. I don't think media coverage of Lennon is overblown, but I think it makes a good story compared with any other abuse hence it gets more coverage. The 'banal' point illustrates the comparison of coverage of Lennon compared with others if you're willing to accept evidence.

In terms of sectarian abuse, I don't think Novo is Catholic or has any faith, but I don't think that stops the abuse being sectarian in nature either. By the way I didn't list every exhaustive thing that's happened to Novo.

Anyway, I'd suggest the fact the Neil Lennon gets it from every set of fans may be more of an indication that he is simply an unlikeable man. I'm not suggesting he doesn't receive sectarian abuse, but I'm not accepting that it's the root of all the abuse he receives.

Classy. Slag off the poor relations. Scotland accounts for about 10% of Sky’s customer base, and the SPL receives about 0.1% of the money Sky pumps into the EPL. It may not even be as much as that.

Easy to say the product isn’t as good, but it’s not hard to see why.

To be fair , the football is much improved in the last year or two, loads of cracking entertainment and it’s not as if there isn’t plenty of sky-hype boreathons in the EPL.

Celtic 1 up against Leipzig, playing well but think there could be goals from both.

    The Rangers game sounded interesting...

Apparently Sky may be about to offer the SPFL £40m for TV rights. Wow, what a bonanza - less than half the amount they give to the English Championship. :/

It’s an insult how little they’ve paid till now. Norway has 40M a year.

Cup Final is a bit scrappy. Sickening head knock just before half-time, really hope GMS is alright—looked SO nasty :(

Christie with a good goal just before HT. Ref then with an absolutely shocking decision to award Celtic a penalty just after the break: never a handball and was outside the box anyway. Great save by the keeper seemed like justice done, to be honest.

Aberdeen still very much in this. Celtic need to step up a gear.

Yeah ... feels like an Aberdeen goal is coming. Celtic looking very frail at the moment.

Thank fuck for that. Really tired performance from Celtic today—after Thursday’s away game in Europe—but did enough in the end. Just about. :)

Think Aberdeen gave a really strong showing, just lacking anything significant in the final third. They’ll likely feel a little hard done by.

Yeah, he’s been absolutely sensational really. Great to see :) seems like a really nice young lad as well—hopefully got a long future at the club.

Very well deserved win for Rangers today; completely bossed us all over the park. Celtic very poor in every area, but disappointingly in those more abstract notions of simple want and desire.

Rodgers just got the setup all wrong, entirely. The injury to Tierney and the fiasco with Rogic’s international duty aside, we were tactically all over the place, and consequently completely outplayed. Yes, it was irritating to have to blow two substitutions on defensive injuries during the game, but it was clear far earlier that our lack of an out-ball was enabling them to continually build pressure—which eventually told with their slate of chances and deflected goal.

Hey ho. We go into the winter break top on GD, and with a game in hand. I think Rodgers will definitely need to strengthen his hand up front at the very least during the window.

Meh, on my birthday tae lol 😂

Arfield was a little off in the finishing and final pass but he's only just come back from injury, his work rate and desire was superb.

Yep, agree with that, pretty horrendous viewing and lucky to get away with 1-0.
The plus point is that given that the ambition of our board is to stay in front of Rangers and no more, we might actually spend some cash now.

It's clear that both Lustig and Brown are finished at the top level, way too slow, I'd play them very sparingly now.
Quite concerning just how much we depend on Tierney.

    Happy Birthday mate!

Rangers were also clearly much more up for it, far more energetic and dynamic, more aggressive and harder working.

However, Morelos is one dirty bastard of a player and amazingly lucky to not get sent off after lashing out at players off the ball on three separate occasions.
