Thing is, appaling as it is, branding means more to people than anything else. No matter how much you tell them that Apple do not make the best MP3 music player type things, they do not believe it. Exactly, the people who are saying the iPod is outperformed by cheaper alternatives could probably look at the clothing they are wearing today; and see branded items which they paid a premium for when cheaper alternatives were available. -

As its only $99 over there it works out about £30 cheaper - and postage shouldn't be too much as its tiny.
I'm tempted to get one as a gift but can't find anywhere that I can import it from. -
