Hmm games that deserve a 10 out of 10, hmmm to me that would be a game that at the time of release couldn't of been improved in any meaningful way.

@CrispyXUK if we say Tetris on the Game Boy then I'd say it's a contender.
About as addictive as 8bit gaming could get, great music too.

for me i have probably a few ones that stand out though,
civilization
baldurs gate 2
mass effect ( it has its flaws but for me i loved it)
Final fantasy x ( one of the few FFs i finshed, oh apart from the laughing scene, those 10 minutes were a 3)
Fallout 3 ( again flawed but i loved it)
resident evil 2
dizzy prince of the yolkfolk
EDIT: going back and reading whatfruits has reminded me of some
original syndicate
north & south ( played this to death on the amiga)
monkey island 1&2
original deus ex

This is the truth! I got the 3DS version which has tons of modes, some of which are pretty great, yet l always end up playing the Game Boy one as it's the real deal

@Gambit1977 I was just buying my game boy so recorded it and the super mario track from the radio.
I remember a program showing how he sampled the mario tune too.

The main loop of that Tetris track still makes me want to dance

Also. I remember getting the turtles track on vinyl on a box of frosties!
