Football Manager 2013

Would anyone reccomend FM 2013? im tempted to pick it up for Ł20 in the steam sale but haven't played a FM game since 2010. Classic mode sounds interesting to me.

I'd wait a little longer, i bet it goes to -75% off between now and the end of the sale.

I might be getting it for christmas from the mrs! There is a thread for it if you want more impressions.

Download the demo to see what classic mode is like. I was disappointed, it was still too complicated for me!

I'd wait a bit re steam. I played the demo and the match engine was frustrating me no end. It was like watching emlyn Hughes soccer on the amstrad again.

Anyway I bought '12 in morrissons for a fiver yesterday instead and I honestly can't see any difference bar a few buttons being in different places (aside from the year old database obviously). If it gets a massive cut in the sale I might buy it, but to be honest I'm enjoying 12 more because the football looks more realistic

The main problem for me is the interface, far too much clutter everywhere. It's a fine game for those who can handle it but not accessible enough for me to hold my attention.

If the game can somehow incorporate the interface from CM97/98 then I'm in. A much more simplified skin would be great.
