Have no idea how well this will be received on here but gamespot have posted a fairly large article with regards to this game with some gameplay videos. It looks quite good in my opinion and its completely free http://uk.gamespot.com/features/the-most-unlikely-fighter-youve-never-heard-of-6402004/ Edited by theguy at 03:33:42 05-01-2013 |

Registered 13 years agoI'd say something meanspirited about adult males who enjoy a show aimed at little girls, but considering they'll never reproduce I can live with it. -

Why do the ponies fight?
Why?
Taken from the developers website:
(The penultimate paragraph is the proper answer, the rest can be ignored)
General Questions
Q: Why ponies?
A: We like ponies. Ponies are cool
Q: Why fighting ponies?
A: Why not?
Q: No, really. Doesn’t that go against the show’s message?
A: In Twilight Sparkle’s words:
Dear Princess Celestia: Today, I learned a valuable lesson.
Sometimes, your friends might be too stubborn to see the truth, but you can always beat some sense and friendship into them. Hard.
Your faithful student,
Twilight Sparkle. P.s. How is your eye healing, by the way?; I hope I didn’t go too hard on you!
And Celestia’s reply:
My most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle
My eye is healing rather well, thank you. I didn’t knew you could pack such a mule’s kick. How is the weather on the moon this time of the year?; I hope you’re enjoying your... vacations... in there.
Your benevolent (dictator) teacher and princess,
Celestia.
P.s. Luna says to stay away from her toaster.
Seriously, though. It’s just an idea we thought “cool”, and when commenting it around the fandom, it seemed to hold a positive reaction to it, so we set on to make it happen.
We don’t enforce, support or sponsor the idea of beating sense and friendship into your friends (or foes) in Real Life though!

Registered 7 years ago"As per a note on Mane6's website, the team behind Fighting is Magic- the in-development, non-profit fighting game based on Friendship is Magic- has received a cease and desist letter from Hasbro's lawyers.
According to the site's blog post, various legal measures have been considered and enacted, but for now the team must comply with the order. As such, production has been shut down indefinitely. A staff member of Mane6 has also resigned from the project, effective immediately."

Registered 13 years agoYou'd think people like 'theguy' would be ashamed to admit they are obsessed with a cartoon for little girls about magic ponies, but no there he is with his pony profile picture and everything.
How did this happen? Did liking anime become too mainstream or something? -

If this game didn't involve ponies, nobody would have cared about it in the slightest. Is there still interest, now that it's going to feature 100% pony knock-offs? Or does the fact they're being made by the shows creator contain too much fanfic potential?
