It's probably one of the best Sci-Fi's I;ve seen in decades and yay it made me cry too.
It's something to do with being able to withstand the gravity of black holes in a universe where gravity can be controlled.
And a legitimate one about spaceships and escape velocity. There may be an explanation for that one too. I was too busy wiping tears from my eyes or otherwise being enthralled.

Fuck that, Nolan is better doing original films, and should avoid sequels in general like speilberg.
Was left wanting batman 4 though!!! -

Yup, I loved that, remember people complaining about stuff in that too.
I really liked sunshine, probably an 8/10

Massive shame it passed Spielberg in the end but it was attached to soderberg at one point which would have been a serious waste.
Nolan hasn't mad a bad film ya nutter, maybe by his own standards, he's not Irvin Kershner yet

@MrDubai Is it OK that I like "Sphere"? -
@Fruit_Salad
The oxymoron is that our technological advances from our pursuit of exploring outside of our world may help us reverse the damage we've inflicted in the incredibly short period since the light build.
Please tell me you've seen contact -
People scoff at The Prestige? It's fucking awesome.
Yes, nolan is very one dimensional, he does what he does well. I've not seen it yet - is the zimmer soundtrack shite as usual? -

I've seen a lot of films this year. I don't mind a bad one if it's aware, deep down, that it's kinda bad.
Something cynical that is created to make money is kinda fine by me.
Films like this... Less so. Interstellar ... The people that made it believe it is smart. They believe they are making something intelligent and unique.
I can honestly say, without bluster, that I could never sit through this again. It was bullshit. Utter, pretentious bullshit. -
This isn't aimed at anyone, but I think with movies some of the time people lose perspective as to what they actually are. They're created from nothing, from the mind of one or more you have a story and then you have all the various elements and other people and actors come together and create that final vision.
For something like Interstellar to start off in someone's mind and become what it is for me personally is amazing. I think sometimes people are looking to be profoundly moved in some way, when I think we should just enjoy the movie for what it is.
/final 3rd didn't sit well so not sure what my point is
