Yeah I don't need any more Vader, that story is done.

The parts that always struck a chord with me took place in settings like the Cantina and Jabba's palace. Happy to have a story that isn't tied to the prophecy but focuses (at least initially) on the smugglers, bounty hunters and rogue Jedi's that occupy the universe.

I'm simply not interested unless the script, music and art direction are all being handled by user Stefansen-I.

As for terminator, 3 needs to be wiped from existence. After 2 and Salvation I am not sure there is enough left to make a decent movie.

    I am done with Vader

Do we really want to see more of a character who was last seen doing adverts for Currys?

Which is why I think a reboot is the way forward. A fresh look at the core story is more interesting at this point than yet another flogging of whatever unexplored area is left to mine.

Which is also why I wanted a Star Wars reboot instead of Ep VII.
They basically should have re-written all of episodes I - III, just pretended they never happened.

It takes a special kind of person to pick holes in something that was written to make people imagine the terminator dressed like an extra from saturday night fever.

I'll pick plot holes in anything I damn well please.

Anyway I'm just confused now - Sarah Connor is born in the 90's so she can have her mother in the 70's and her son born in the 80's so we can dress the Terminator in disco clothing.

Just give us what we all wanted; fast forward to the 2020s and give us the real war scene that frightened us, and end it with Kyle going back in time. Either that, or the first few years just after the attack as skynet goes on a rampage.

No bollocks about some prototype Sam running sell over the gaff.

Salvation suffered from many things; one of them being the fact that for a film hyped about wars with the machine, there is only one scene (where Kyle Reece send the other prisoners are shepherd into that base) with 2 terminators, for all of 3 seconds. And the scene where CGI Arnie tears through the t-400.
Everything before and after that involved a few seconds of just one T-range in action. No war.

Again, we dont need that. The few minutes of flashbacks/forwards that reece has in T1 are more than enough to convey how horrific it is.

It's called Genesis. It will be a short film where a Terminator is sent back to the Creation and blows away Adam.

Start with the assumption that it will be fucking awful and who knows maybe it won't be too terrible to watch.

I don't really think you can speak for the rest of us.
Many of us do want it, so saying we don't "need that" is a bit redundant. We don't need anything after T2, but if they're gonna do it. Might as well give us what we want.

Oh and we know how horrific it is, that's why we want more of it.

So basically, someone wrote a scifi script, pitched it to some studios, carolco or whoever it is now said, ooh this is ok, we could force it into a dead franchise to sell it, get a crappy script doctor in who rewrites it with recognisable characters and shit time paradoxes and boom. Terminator 5 is born.

The hope being it will make money by having Arnie in a leather jacket and sunglasses.
