Strangely I just had a chat with my sister, who by all accounts is a smart person but at times I despair. She voted leave with a reason that I still don't understand, she's readily admitted to me that she doesn't really watch or read the news, had no idea when I mentioned about DD and his lies, and doesn't really know what it means if we get a Norway deal. It's ok she tells me with a smug smile, it'll all work itself out and there's far too much doom and fear going on. These are the kind of people who it's impossible to talk and reason with.

I know, I looked back at that and can only think familial love is blinding me to the stupidity.

A huge number of people just don’t actually care about politics, it’s just something that happens somewhere else which doesn’t really affect their lives somehow. They voted Brexit though, because they didn’t like how “Germany kept calling the shots” in the EU

Let's be honest here, a pretty large percentage done it to "keep the Muslims out".

Yea, a similar vote on something that might be somehow against Muslims would have a high turnout here too, just like anywhere in Europe

What's going on in the forum, is there something in the water? Mowgli and Goat Apocalypse are smouldering with sexual tension for each other in the politics thread and Derbs is setting people off in the Xbox X thread. It's an epidemic!

You do believe someone should take over and make this place more efficient, don't you? Be honest.

I think you've got that wrong. User Mfolf works 4052 hours a week at his important career*. He doesn't have much time to post on a games forum.

*A career is like that broom pushing job you all do but it's much better.

Hardly. We think Stefansen would be the ideal person in charge.

so what you are saying is, Century Fox is now Disney

which means the Alien franchise is now Disney

which means Xenomorphs, being born from the Xenomorph Queen, are now Disney princesses

I choose 2old4disshit, he seems like I could dupe quite easily into doing whatever sexual deviancy I can think of.

That joke was done before, after Disney bought Marvel. Referring to women of Marvel who had royal connections in their stories as 'Disney Princesses'.

I'm wondering where I can get a decent size drink cabinet from. I've amassed a pretty large amount of spirits for cocktails and the like and to be honest, throwing them all in my Ikea cabinet isn't really working.

Something like this looks along the right lines.

Though maybe something taller would be better.

    (Ikea hack)

I visited the home of a posh American family once. Somewhere in Carolina. They had one of those drink cabinets. I thought was a real globe and started trying to spin it around. That didn't go down well.

The man of the house was as Republican as it comes. A big immaculately suited man with a "gun room". He did little to hide his contempt for me, a scruffy, skinny English teen stinking of weed and looking like Kurt Cobain if he'd somehow joined the Happy Mondays.

Years ago, during 6th form, there was one guy who tried to be edgy and insisted he normally eats oranges like he does apples, just biting through the skin.

Watching him try to eat one when confronted was fucking hilarious. Dude was a moron.
    Haha.

I watched The Siege last night and Denzel was eating an orange just like this.

(Though to be fair, he had removed the peel from the bit he was biting into…)
