Jon Ronsons Butterfly Effect podcast is super, super interesting. Its all about the unintended consequences of the the likes of pornhub on the porn industry.

Anyway, one of the things he talks about is, basically, porn metadata being targeted for search engines, so where you would get a 'bad girls 38' in the past, now you get titles that hit every popular search term, which is why all porn is now called variations of 'brother sister teen anal orgy', because if it's not on the first page of hits, it may as well not exist.
Which is really sad, as the whole vaginal orgy industry effectively collapsed in the aftermath of this development, leaving thousands and thousands of NOT sisters (and actual anal virgins) without income. :(

Isn't pornhub one of those "shows what it thinks you want based off your browser history" things?

I guess it is if your Google search history includes "brother cumming in his sister"

It has a "recommended for you" section if you scroll down but the ones that you see when you first open the site are Trending and Popular in the UK.

Its the adverts that are the worst. They tend to be super explicit/graphic. I like a bit of foreplay before I see someones colon.

His talking about the wilderness years was insightful too. The wilderness years is from early to mid twenties up to mid thirties where a porn actress can't get work anymore.

So porn actresses struggle in their twenties and early thirties? Really?

I suppose if someone’s researched the industry and says that is the case, I’d be inclined to believe it

To be fair there's a gap between "hot young girl" "cock hungry milf".

That’s exactly it, apparently. Porn is all driven by keywords and search terms now- nobody’s searching for “Average Twenty Seven Year Old Boobidge”.

Remember that thing about if the dress was blue or white? Now there's another thing going on, someone was recorded saying "Laurel" and millions of lunatics claim he's saying "Yanny". WTF is wrong with those people?

So, sent some contracts by first class post signed for delivery on last Friday midday at the post office. Recipient tells me they haven't received them yet, check with post office "oh we've still got in it our network" shrug.

    FFS.

They probably entered the industry when they were 18, so in 6 years (although more like 2) they'll probably have done everything on the rudeness scale and there's nothing fresh left for them to entertain their audiences with.

If they join the industry later, the'll still get the same, short window of fan attention.

I wouldn't have even expected that but you'd expect first class signed for delivery with tracking would be there by now after being sent on Friday. Called them, the person on the phone just repeated we have it, then hung up.

@JamboWayOh Maybe they know you're anxious about timing, because you paid for "signed for delivery", but want to give you a prod to pay for the more expensive next-day service next time around.

Even then that’s not necessarily what you get - one time I had some stuff sent by courier between offices for 9am delivery - by half 9 it still hadn’t arrived. Called the post room, they said it had been signed for. Guy just signed for it himself and strolled in at quarter to ten.

First class has been next day in my experience.
The one time I used Special Delivery 1PM, it wouldn’t be delivered on the Saturday and was delivered on the Monday 😐

The thing is with porn now is that it is so inserted into all levels of society and its acceptability has reached such a climax that there are many many young women who see it as a viable career. There is a never-ending supply of fresh talent arriving in LA, seeking their fortune. Due to this, if there is a woman who has done several scenes over the course of a year there will be a fresh face to replace her in a short amount of time.

This means, anyone who doesn't become a name quickly and isn't signed to specific production houses will find themselves out of work fairly quickly.

His book is free on audible, I think. Well worth a listen and really quite eye opening. It has made me consider actually paying for porn as these people are no being paid for most of the content that is viewed and many of the actresses are basically being exploited in every way.

I hate this fucking thing. There's solid and factual science as to why people hear different things and yet mongs argue blue in the face that their specific interpretation is the correct one.

Quite enjoying the story of the video of the racist prick in New York who abused two women for speaking Spanish rather than English. The internet have found his identity within hours and now he is getting savaged. Probably wont do his career in law much good either.
