I thought it was mostly cigarettes and chip pans. Do we not have a forum fireman?

So maybe the gap in the market is to have a wood burning stove with a chip pan underneath for easy starting

@fontgeeksogood damn right I know exactly what you mean. How can a dry flammable material inside a machine purpose designed to help things combust, go out so damn easily?

That said, I now exclusively use the ‘top down kindling’ method with a wailing fire starter and it works every time

Yeah, I do top down, not sure what a wailing fire starter is, is it anything to do with a twisted fire starter

As previously discussed, wood isn't flammable

    So it’s inflammable then? 🤔

Silly fuckers in the place I bought had taken out the chimney. Reckon it'll cost a good 3-4k to put it back in with an external twin flue.

Oh. Well. YBN Nahmir and his clique didn't show up to the gig. So I guess that solved that particular moral dilemma.

We stood by the corner of the stage from 7:45 to 10:00 pm and then went home.

Taught my son a potentially valuable lesson about the unreliability of stoners, I guess.

Yup. Total no show. And no support either. Literally 450 people stood in a dark room for 2 and a half hours then going home.

Not sure if he came on after 10, but the venue needs to be empty at 11:00, so if he did it wasn't for long.

A quick google suggests his no-show may be down to him getting arrested. Some kind of punch-up yesterday.

Maybe. He got robbed in London yesterday, I think. Not sure he was at fault.

He was pretty definately in the Manchester Academy building today though. We spoke to security about it, and he was posting on instagram.

To be honest, seems this ABN Namhir is just a kid who wrote a few short, offensive raps that somehow went viral and who has been sent on a tour to Europe well before he is really ready for it. No real surprise that it is going tits up. Don't think he is the kind of professional who has "paid his dues".

There's a video on his twitter feed on him kicking some downed guy in the face.

    Lovely chap.

    Nah, he's fine.

Guess it turned out OK in the end. We got to spend some father and son time together, he got a story to tell his mates, I will get our money back, and neither of us had to listen to the "music".

Lesson learned though. Won't be booking something like that again without checking out the performer first.

The origins of fake news span back into the early days of the newspaper industry, where hair-brained tall stories would be made up to fill space, until real stories and eventually enough ads and cartoon illustrations could replace them. Fake news is the modern equivalent of space fillers.

As for the legal system and society, no disrespect to either, but are human creations and subject to the corruptible natures of male/female and agendas. This is the way such will always be, sadly. The legal system for instance is very ideology based, so if you are not an ideology person, much may be moot (this is why they ask you to swear upon a bible, even if you have never read the thing or go to church). There is no option if you don't believe and refrain from such religious ideology, as I do in life, as far as I'm aware, correct if wrong. To me, and as a creative writer, both bibles old and new, are but edited story books of chronicle of past times, when we had no records, libraries, iPhones and internet to maintain knowledge. And even in those bibles, it has ill stuff like rape and murder is told of, ironically and weird. Many forget such, only quoting parts they like, no offense to those who like those books. There's good knowledge stuff in those story books to, so perhaps the good/bad balances out. Frankly I don't want to take the bibles out of context, in this post as such wouldn't be fair, on such edited texts. Hey, believe what you want so long as you don't be a dingus about it, thoughtlessly violent, oppressive and persecuting others, let me live in peace and happy while here, do and thrive well in my short time alive. I still respect the choice of others to choose what they want from life, so long as they don't try to end my life for choosing something cool and different. Some great people I work with believe what they will, but I still love, appreciate and understand them as best as I can, regardless and despite of their personal and private religious ideology stuff.

As for society, it is but a nice name for a group of people, be they a crazy cult, a motor cycle club, a D&D fan of game players, or those of higher circles political and station climbing. Cabal is also a name for a group. Party is also a name for a group, so be careful of words and their meaning. Groups/parties/societies, also have room for positive, middling or negative change, influence, corruption and impact. Wherever you are, do well to stay on target and be positive and let no group consume you, or cloud your own mind and heart.
