Haha no there wasn't actually. There was a choice of hotpot with a crust or lasagne. I had both because I'm a greedy classless cunt.
    But, crucially, not cheesy.

I'm at a family wedding and I'm hiding in the toilet because my aunt is shit faced and "wants to dance later" which always means rubbing her fanny on me.

Also I'm teetotal nowadays and sober weddings are even worse than drunk ones. Also my other half thinks it's 'cute' that my 45 year old aunt acts like she's 19 and in Cancun #metoo

In the hotel room and relatively unmolested. She's such a hoser, she lay on the piano and started doing a Harry Met Sally thing (apparently, I kept my distance). I hope the photographers WHO WERE FUCKING EVERYWHERE caught her slutty antics for when she sobers up.

This is why we're never welcomed back to venues

I feel like I should say, aunt by marriage. I'm not sure it materially changes anything. I hope there were no Eiffel towers

Some cunt hit my wing mirror today and smashed it into 3 pieces, they didnt stop either. Managed to reassemble it and fortunately the electrics weren't damaged which is a relief as the door open sensor triggered as soon as he did it. One part is broken and needs replacing but I managed to get the part for £20 and can hopefully fit myself.

    @Frogofdoom
The last M5 I had (actually last BMW I owned)...13 year ago now (kids!!!) came out to find the wing mirror broken. I won't tell you the price as I'm unsure I'm over it even now.

My current car a MK 1 Focus 170ST (old but still a great car) has had the mirrors smashed off about 3 times. I just buy generic ones from Ebay now, still £30-40 a go mind you.

I've had mine knocked off a few times, but got away with just the back panel being smashed to bit. About £20 from some auto spares website, job's a good un.

I was quoted 200 for a new one, fitted for my Leon FR so did the classic idiot thing of driving around with it smashed for nearly a year and repairing it the week I sold it.

Civic wont be worth much when I sell it anyway so I might just drive it to death. Its 10 years old next year so I may as well beat it to death.

Ugh, just had to give somebody a serious bollocking. Not something I like doing at the best of times and this was to somebody I've worked well with before and will have to work with again. Unfortunately, they'd crossed a line in their behaviour to one of my team (possibly just having a bad day, but they didn't immediately apologise), so didn't have much choice.

Will be feeling crap about that for the rest of the day.

Prompted by the appearance of Phoenix Point, and RichardDavies PS1 thread, got all game nostalgic, and decided to look up Laser Squad Nemesis

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_Squad_Nemesis

The Gollops PC multiplayer take on XCOM, and one of the all time greats, the grenade mechanics alone made it a top 10 for me.

The server is of course gone, and PBEM games are pretty tricky without one,† but the forums have been archived here then there then everywhere, and remain still! -

    https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/codogames/

(Pretty sure w00t has gone mind you)

Even still got a copy of the manual on there. The only surviving dude on here that played was (I think) Mr Wonderstuff (hey dude). Anyone else?

Dear Julian Gollop, if you happen to be reading - as soon as my lottery win finally drops, I will pay your company huuuge consultancy rates to resurrect LSN and let everyone pay for free, but I get special Marine paintjobs. I happen to work with a cousin of yours, so should be easy to get in touch. Any day now ...

Woo! Scored Faith No More tickets at the first time of asking! My 14 year old self would be wetting himself!

And, appropriately enough, be laughing at my current midlife crisis...
