God, that show was so northern working class that I could feel myself turning into an alcoholic coal miner the more I watched it.

Should I try and watch this? I'm slightly disturbed still from Metal Mickey, yet overall morbidly fascinated by 80s British kids TV

I seem to remember her appearing in something rather more adult a few years later, getting it from behind on a sofa in one scene.

No idea what the programme was.

    But probably not Jonny Briggs.

I know mind had one. I have no recollection of his real name. Other than from the teachers it was never heard.

    Just ‘BAAAaaaah-wamp-bamp...

If you want northern, here's a educational programme made by Granada TV, with Bob Greaves voicing it, about the Happy Mondays before they were famous, with lots of St. Anthony.

'the bands manager Nathan wants more money from Factory so the band can spend more time recording.'

    Lol. no he fucking doesn't.

It's amazing how bad tv picture quality was in the 1980s.

No-one ever used to moan about it though, probably because tellies were so small you could hardly see the picture.

It didn’t look that bad. What you are really experiencing is how dreadful recording mediums were in the 80’s

I dispute that - show me some live TV from the 80s to prove you are not recalling with rose tinted spectacles.

The weight of tellys then was also ridiculous. In fact each telly came in its own furniture cabinet ready to catch fire when the telly blew up.

Being so battered you have absolutely no idea what is going on in the world around ... seems like a reasonably intelligent life choice currently.

    Think about the future.

A lad I used to work with is the cousin of the actor who played Bob - George Costigan, I think his name is.

That's a bizarre coincidence because this afternoon I googled black lace superman.

What is the probability of that ?
