Aye Threads. Remember watching that while on a caravan holiday on the West coast of Cumbria, which was pretty fucking grim as well.
We were probably 30 miles from Sellafield.

Ahh, good old T-Shirt and the totally not recreationally narcotic-laced tea.

Must have been laugh a minute.

threads was grim, not just because of the gritty reality, but at that time there was a not totally insignificant chance that it might actually happen.

    The good old cheery 80s.

I love that melancholy shit - like the one he did of his parents as well. My wife thinks there is something wrong with me :-\

    Ah, ok, I gots ya.

I used to live near top of Queen’s Road when I were a lad. Spent a lot of time up that park riding just BMX, playing on the wooden fort - which was awesome - and generally getting up to no good, 80’s style. Often involving a box of Bluebell

So I went and sold my consoles and physical games to CEX... I have no next gen consoles pre ordered and feel a bit sad I lose access to bloodborne until I buy the ps5 next year but best to get them gone now before the mad dash to sell the consoles devalues then to nothing and I will just have to play pc and switch until it’s time to jump into next gen.

I guess the handy thing is with stuff like Geforce now, Xcloud, Luna, PS Now (and whatever the other one is that I'm forgetting) you can easily make do without a console for a while as long as your internet isn't total crap. (I know the switch is a console, but, you know what I mean...)

I don't understand selling items on Steam's community market. I mean I participate in it, I get like €0.07 here and there, but I don't get who is buying this stuff and why.

People who like all that badge stuff. I mean, I've sold and bought a few cards here and there for fun but never actually spent any of my own money towards it.

I remember when it first started and the prices were crazily skewed. I made about thirty bucks from offloading crap.

I think I used profit from other cards to complete one or two sets of games that I loved (Doom 2016 maybe), but typically just put it up for sale for whatever the current price is.

It's mental to see cards going for 20p or so. Like what the fuck is the point of that, just buy a can of Tesco value mushy peas instead!

Not even chewing them? Just swallowing them like some kind of weird pea eating goose.

When would you even have mushy peas? I can't think of an occasion or meal to bust out the mushy peas.

Weirdly, this is like the sausage roll chat I was having with the Mrs yesterday. If all you’ve ever had are those pasty, anaemic prepacked supermarket sausage rolls stuffed with pig anus, then you would think sausage rolls are shit.

Similarly, if all you’ve ever had are cheap mushy peas out a can, you’d definitely think they are a bit rank. But proper mushy peas are lovely.

Chewing just slows things down. They're essentially pre-chewed peas anyway.
