Thanks, they look good. Well, they *look* a bit lairy, but they seem good :)

I wanted the yellow ones, but couldn't bring myself to go through with it and got the black ones.

They're quality headphones for the money. My only slight criticism was that they leaked sound a little, but they don't claim to be noise cancelling and you should be fine if you're commute isn't on the tube...

If you don't mind looking like a cyberman, the AKG K92 are also worth a look. They are amazing for 40 quid.

Dude at work has them and they look and sound like they should cost thrice the price.

They sound ideal actually, I don't need portability. I can ignore the bling for that price.

Yeah, the bro at work just sits all day at his desk with them. Either he listens quite low or they don't leak much because you don't hear much spilling out of them.

I got the bluetooth version, Y50BT, about a year ago. In black obviously.
The only thing I don't like is when I listen to music on them via the PC they aren't as loud as I would like them to go.

The noisy bastards at work have finally got to me so I need some ANC headphones. Anyone got any experience with the Bowers and Wilkins PX or the B&O H9i?

I need ANC but it comes second to the actual sound they make and the PX especially sound like they would do the business.

I had the PX and the build quality was pathetic. Went through two pairs that broke before getting the H9i, which I like very much. Only complaint would be the touch controls which I hate, but have learnt to live with.

Objectively I would say even if the PX didnít break the B&O are better. More comfortable by far. Better sound. Better NC. The price isnít worth the gap though, but again, they actually work for more than a week.

There's factory refurbs on the beoplay eBay store, so they are actually 20 quid cheaper than the PX.

That's actually great to hear and kind of the opposite to a few things I've been reading, so I was leaning towards the PX. The sound profile sounded a bit more up my alley but there's no where anywhere near me that has a demo pair.

I've listened to the Sonys and they sounded good but the PX apparently sound a bit better albeit with worse noise cancelling.

They are on the short list but I really want the best sounding ones.

I really wanted to like the PX. Love the design and they have proper analogue controls. But yeah, build quality is just a joke and they arenít comfortable. Lots of stuff online about the build quality as well so I wasnít just unlucky.

The 1000xm3 as TH are probably still the best pound for pound in that class but I just find them a bit Ford Focusy personally.

I know what you mean. Half the office have qc25/35 which immediately puts me off cuz I'm that guy.

And, yeah, thats no small part why I was leaning towards the PX as they look great.

Probably the lovely B&Oís that Kalel has.

I love my Oppoís but good noise cancelling headphones would be great for flying, they look ideal.

I'd like Decks to draw her in a Ford Focus wearing Sony WH cans.

FWFW I tried some 1000XM3's recently and was blown away. By far and away the best headphones I've personally ever tried. I will be getting some in the near future.

Apologies for going all beige on the thread but still absolutely love my now ageing QC15's. Got them 4 years ago, and only had to replace the pads recently as the wife thought they'd withstand pointy ear rings (not all that surprisingly, they don't).

Extremely comfortable for hours (and that's with wearing glasses) and block out noise very well indeed. Sorely missed them on a recent long haul flight where I decided against bringing them (in the hope the airline would provide a decent set, but nope).
