    Great "game".

I see this more as a novel that fucking brilliant. It's no game, more like a interactive book. Loving it.
I want to know more. Is it a linear story or does it branch dependant on conversations etc. Like I said in a previous post this is really exciting me as I used to love text adventures in the amstrad heyday.
It's not linear at all. Just try it and see for yourself. It's a great text adventure game for sure. The dialogues are all great and written pretty well. Sometimes I forget I'm not reading a book

I'm using the steam controller and it's great for this title.

Bertie from EG played the PS4 version and said it had some small issues and a handful of crashes in 30+ hours. Didn't sound "fucked" but maybe he was just lucky?

I believe in this day and hyperbolic age the definition of "fucked" generally means it sometimes experinces some slowdown.

Dunno kutako? said several freezes almost unplayable. Unless they are exaggerating massively.

Bertie had three hard crashes, which is far from ideal on any platform but shouldn't be happening on a console, but otherwise was able to play the game. As I say, maybe just lucky?

We know that all PS4s are not built to an equal level of quality, so who knows if that's playing a part.

    I'm really fucking loving it.

I haven't been this engrossed in a game for a long, long time.

I was worried that I would bounce of this like I did with Pillars (the story and setting never grabbed me and the Kickstarter backer characters were jarring as fuck).

So far, so very good. Haven't been this interested in a world since, well, Torment :)

Not that I need more excuses to get this but what do you mean? I've been waiting a long time for a mentally challenging game...

Had limited time last night, but had a quick play; and a very quick death. Yeah, I'm going to love this :)

Just SO much to play at the moment: Horizon, Nioh, Torment, and then usual persistent games like BF1, TF2 and Overwatch. Not to mention I picked up Tomb Raider and The Witness in a recent sale. Jesus Christ.

What is this game? I thought it was just something obtuse for serious PC nerds, but I see it's on my kool konsole too. Should I care about it?

While an MP game being out for 3 months and isn't Overwatch or Battlefield is 'dead'. Yawn.

It involves reading. Words. Probably not up your alley. ;-)

    SHOTS FIRED

Or not as it's far too intellectual to have guns in it.

    Heh. :D

If you ever played Planescape: Torment, it'll be right up your alley. If you've ever played Divine Divinity or Wasteland 2 and thought "you know what? I bet I could *talk* my way out of all this trouble, no need to fight!" then it'll be right up your alley.

    Otherwise possibly notsomuch.

Er.. I've heard of a couple of those :/
  • Deleted user 2 March 2017 10:07:49
Its basically what you thought it was, although a very good example of it. Although its even less combat focused and more focused on story and lore, etc. You're far more likely to be trying to talk your way out of fights than actually fighting.

    Edit: What Phattso said.

I mentioned those as they got console releases, I believe. It's a party based RPG with a couple of novel's worth of prose in it, and a really distinct and interesting setting that likes to navel gaze on philosophical topics.

IT WILL MAKE YOU QUESTION WHO YOU ARE!

    Or bore you to tears.

It might also crash a lot on PS4. Or be 'fucked'. We're not sure yet.
  • Deleted user 2 March 2017 10:13:25
It may also just suffer minor slowdown
