@THFourteen Two people. And both regretted it. I know one of them personally, and he knows the other guy. -

Registered 10 years ago@craigy It's more effeminate than it used to be. If you can't tell the difference then get back into your pink car, put on your sparkly dress and pearlescent ear rings.
It's over for apple unless they inject to testosterone to balance it out. Unisex was how it used to be with the iPhone but that's a delicate balance that they've lost and ill be going android eventually unless they fix the look and feel. -
@atomicjuicer hey, how did you know my car is sprayed barbie pink?! -

Registered 15 years agoI switched to android a couple of years back. Granted, it was a Samsung S3 rather than the Nexus 4 I should have got, but still.
It's become easily the worst mobile experience I have ever had. -

Registered 16 years agoThe expansion on in between app sharing and keyboard stuff will definitely help them catchup.
I can see how notification bar based widgets could work.
Battery usage data looks better than Android as well.
Not that there's a chance that I'd switch but there was a risk of Android starting to dominate and I'd prefer that they kept Google on their toes outside the courts as well as inside them. -

That's not strictly Android's fault... -

Registered 15 years ago@Syrette No you're right, it's not. In fact, I like android a lot, espeically the freedom it gives you. But my samsung has left a bad taste in my mouth, which isn't android's fault really, but still.
I wonder if iphone plus android tablet is maybe the way to go for me. -

Registered 10 years agoWhat kind of freedom is it that makes Android so good? Isn't every need covered through the vast amount of apps out there? I've never had an Android phone, so I don't know how it works on the other side or what the advantages of this freedom are... -

Registered 16 years agoQuite hard to explain without showing you some of the stuff I have on my phone.
Useless stuff like widgets, meaning I never have to open an app to see if my tube line is slow, automation so I can switch bluetooth on by tapping my phone and headphones together, automatically turn wifi on and off when I leave home or reach work.
Also has loads of useless stuff that I find cool like using my ps3 controller to play DS or Amiga games on the train (I built a little phone holder for the ds3 using technic lego!) so I can play swos on the train.
It's a fiddlers dream tbh.
I like the combo of ipad and android phone, gives me the best of both worlds. There are games on ios that never come out on android, like hearthstone (ok never is a lie, but like a year later) -
I like not having to fiddle. Although if there is a switch to proprietary headphones, I'll instantly migrate.
Agree on the Pad though. I have a lot of stuff on there that doesn't drift across to Android. -

Registered 18 years agoI don't think there'll be a switch to proprietary headphones. The only thing I can think of that would be useful on lightning would be power supplied to a headphone amp or noise cancelling earphones. Also, I thought lightning was purely digital - so wouldn't it necessitate another DAC on the headphone side? -
