Does anyone have the original disc version of Day of the Tentacle?

Bit of a long shot this. I've got the CD version which has no copy protection. Here's proof.

Now, because I own this, it's my understanding that this is legal and I'm not breaking any forum rules, but if I am then I'm sorry, and deletion is fair enough.

I've downloaded the floppy version to use on my ipaq, as the CD version is too large to fit on, but I can't get past the old copy protection, 'look up a code in a manual' bit.

I only need to get past it once and then I can save, so if someone could email me a code, I'd appreciate it a lot.

/feels like a dirty warez kid

    Edit: Didn't specify floppy

As I said, I have the cd version also, and I posted a photo to proove it.

BUT, its the floppy version I need the copy protection for.

    Edit: again, the floppy thing

Can't you turn the cd version into an image and mount it using daemon tools?

...and you still don't realise how little I know about this kind of thing.

If that's just a way of copying the CD, then that's not a problem, the problem is getting the file small enough to go on the ipaq. But if what you're suggesting will help me do that then it sounds good.

How big is your SD card? Perhaps invest in a bigger one? I know that's not much use really but Aria does a 1Gb for £47 and I'm sure others probably do them reasonably cheap as well.

If you use the floppy version, you'll miss out on all the speech won't you?

Well, neither do I, hence the question mark :-)

Yeah, if all else fails then I've got a bigger SD card on the way anyway, but it would be nice if I could get this working as it's a tiny file in comparison.

It's a shame about the sound, but I'm not too arsed as I'm mostly playing it at work anyway, pretending to be doing important work like things on my PDA :)

I'm not expecting too much to come of this. Just thought there was a chance I might be able to get a code.

/points out the cd version is IDENTICAL to the floppy version apart from the larger monster.sou file which contains all the voices.

Just copy all the data files except monster.sou, and copy the monster.sou from the floppy version....

Um. I'm not going to get into another one of these warez arguments, not after last time, suffice it to say that I have the original CD version and I've copied it to my powerbook as a disk image so I can use it with SCUMM VM (or whatever it's called). I don't recall ever being asked for a code.
