Hello all, My name is Neal Hallford. You might not recognize my name, but you might recognize the titles of some of the games I've worked on as a writer over the past twenty three years including "Betrayal at Krondor," "Dungeon Siege," "Might & Magic III: Isles of Terra," "Planet's Edge," "Champions of Norrath," "Lords of Everquest," and several more. On Wednesday morning, I launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund "The Thief of Dreams," my first fantasy novel. "Thief" will combine magic, espionage, court intrigue, and high adventure in an exciting new book in the same tradition as the novels of George R.R. Martin, Tad Williams, Guy Gavriel Kay, and Raymond E. Feist. If you've enjoyed any of my games, or if you're just a fan of fantasy fiction in general, then I think you'll find something in this novel you'll like. Oh, and by the way, the cover art for my book is being commissioned by Shawn Sharp, one of the artists behind the highly successful GuildWars games, and an incredibly talented guy. To find out more, just follow my link to Kickstarter where I have an introductory video and more information about the plot, the project, and the pledge rewards. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/nealhallford/the-thief-of-dreams-from-the-writer-of-betrayal-at Thanks so much for your attention! Registered 15 years agoYeah, it's not like there are huge expenses associated with writing one. You don't need a £3000 computer and that £1500 piece of book writing software, no matter what sone people will tell you. -

Registered 14 years agoSeems like a bit of a rinse this. If it's any good then people will buy it. That's how books work. It's not even like it's hard to publish these days with all the e-book shite.
Even if he's penniless just get a job and write in your spare time like everyone else. If it's good it will sell, if it's toss it won't. I think if you get all the money first, you'll stop writing the book. You'll just stay at home having pokey bumwanks, watching Eastenders and complaining about writer's block. -
