Registered 16 years agothey'll limit the networks in the immediate area for now. terrible news. is it bad that I felt quite sad as well for the people who got so near to the finish line and then ended up getting pulled off over to the side? -

Registered 16 years agoIn the video of the first explosion on sky, you can see the 2nd explosion go off in the far background. The presenter hasn't noticed it yet.

Sadly not likely.
Hopefully it's something accidental like a gas explosion and nothing sinister.
Seems the Newtown families were in a VIP stand nearby. Which doesn't strike me as a coincidence.
Awful stuff. -

Registered 14 years agoDoes look like it's something sinister. Boston police have found secondary devices in other trash cans. -

Jesus, imagine what they are potentially going through - the indescribably terrible atrocity of the Newtown Shootings and then having to witness this. For their sake I hope this was just an accident.

Sky show footage of the explosion and talk about it, but if you look on the same side of the road 200 metre's away from the finish line there's a second explosion, they go on to say there was another across the road. -

Registered 16 years agodon't know how to say this, but 2 is a pretty low fatality rate for a lot of people in a confined area. saw some tweets on the reuters thing saying they were 10ft away from the explosion - that's a small bomb, if it was a bomb -
