Reunion specials are usually quite fun, but they write themselves. A whole series puts much more pressure on the writing so it's much riskier.
They must all really want lots of cash. -

Early BBT was great. Nerd jokes, doing nerd things. Then they all got supermodel girlfriends (minus Blossom) and they turned the biggest draw of the show into a complete cunt. -

It was really funny from seasons 2-4. This applies to both friends and bbt. -

So your issue with it is that it's a sitcom.
It's another one of those completely disposable programmes that is fine for background watching. Perfectly watchable yet nothing memorable ever happens and you never care if you miss it. It's hard to have any strong feelings about it. -

The hate comes from it starting off with some promise, then seemed to just fall into a "we want Friends-lite" focus group hole.
Luckily this is the general consensus, so it's easy enough to avoid now.
