Combat being turn-based takes out 95% of any trackpad stress, however.
I'm a cackhanded fuckmong from the plannet cripple. Am I gonna have a good time with this game on a trackpad? Sounds like not.
Bah. Might have to relent and give keyb+mouse a go, but it's utter crap from a sofa. The only games I've made this effort for in the past have been Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2. -

You can use (eat) them for some water resistance I think. Otherwise there might be some recipes. Or else just sell them. Not found any compelling reason myself to keep them and they just clutter up my inventories!

Oh wow! That's it! It all seems so obvious now, smoggo, thankyou so much for opening my eyes.
This might sound totally outlandish but have you considered getting a desk?

Don't call me 'pal', buddy.
Any time pal, they do some decent ones for under £100 in Ikea. -

Registered 18 years agoI don't ban people, that would be churlish! I simply pass their email address on to the Nike spammers and CC sellers instead.

Registered 19 years agoI'm thoroughly enjoying it, definitely feels like a cross between Magicka and Baldur's gate, especially in a 2 wizard party. Glad to see it's selling well even without most reviews being out yet. -
Must resist....
Not helping myself by looking at collectors editions and YouTube videos... -

Registered 12 years agoI don't doubt its quality but the pace of it is absolutely glacial. Played about 5 hours and don't really feel like I've achieved anything tbh, other than have a bit of a look around, talk to a few people and have about 3 fights. -

Registered 14 years agoIt's definitely slow, I've probably played about 15 hours and I'm still on the first map, though almost done I think. I don't mind the pace though. -
Not felt it was slow. -

You get new skills by initiative, not by levelling. -

Registered 18 years agoSo, I can officially confirm that this is IN NO WAY compatible with playing on a normal TV from a sofa. And nobody was surprised. .gif)
The text is too small to read, and the whole interface requires a fair amount of precision to select what needs to be selected.
Perfectly fine on a Macbook pro though, so the day is saved!.gif)
It's really rather good, isn't it? So liberating to have a game where you actually get to read stuff rather than skip through lackluster voice overs from the same ten voice actors again and again and again.
It's fun, it moves quickly, there's plenty of genuine secrets in there for those that care to find them (even one right at the very beginning, albeit hard to miss).
Can't wait to play this more. I see what you all mean about the clock moving more slowly with this thing waiting to be played. -

Registered 19 years agoI've been playing this non-stop since I started. In its own way it's up there with Mask of the Betrayer and the other great rpgs for me. So many little creative things you can do and shedloads of content. -

Registered 14 years ago20 hours in and just finished the first map, barring a few side quests most of which I think I need to leave the map to do. I had started to feel that it was getting a bit easy then found a fight that was a huge jump in challenge and great fun. -

I mean that in the style of Doom's secrets (a wall that opens to reveal a secret room with some ammo in it) rather than a big secret that turns the game on its head or gives you some amazing powers.
Secret right at the start?
The specific one I'm referring to is the giant talking clam you can hear from the opening beach - if you wander around to find it you can finish a small side quest which wasn't a quest goal, or a waypoint, it was just a thing that was there in the world to be discovered or not.
I like that incidental stuff.
