    I just found out a few items won't make it on launch day. Shame as I was really looking forward to the AI personality. Currently only random and loyal will be in place which don't really sound that interesting.

    "I can finally answer the question, since we just locked everything down and bar any critical issues, the version I'm playing now is the version that's being released on monday.

    Pretty much everything we planned is in there, but we had to make a few changes to get things ready as Murphy has been rather active here in Gent, Belgium. Extra companions will come later but the henchmen are in (most likely extra henchmen will be added in function of the needs we see). There's one extra AI personality (loyal i.e. the same as if you had no cooperative dialog) and the others will be patched in afterwards. We've also cut some of the Phantom forest dungeons levels and may make those available for people to fool around with as mods.

    As I mentioned before, given the scope of the game those are minor things, and if it weren't for the Kickstarter campaign, we'd probably not even communicate about it. As it stands, I think the game is highly enjoyable and feature packed. Obviously if you wait, you'll have the advantage of patches and a bit of extra content, but there seriously is already a big & fun adventure to be had."

    It's in Steam early access beta, it's releasing properly as a finished game on Monday.

    There might be an update on Monday, which, on precedent, will probably render all older saves incompatible - clean start, as it were. That's how it's worked pre-release, anyway.

    @hypoBla5t Afaik, it hasn't been released yet. What you can download right now is the beta. Full version should be available tonight at 6(ish), I think.

    So I've already redeemed my key for the Kickstarter backers at the Larian Vault, if I type that in to steam it'll be the beta I'm downloading then?

    No, I believe if you log into Larian Vault now, you will get your proper Steam key. There is also a backers code that you will need to get your Kickstarter items.

    Also, quoted from the same page:

    If you have an alpha or beta Steam game, your game will automatically update to the final release. You don't need to do anything.
    It does not mention times though so I suspect still having to wait until 18:00 for a final update. Not clear on that part!

    OK, the game just started to update in Steam. The update is 926MB so not too bad. Although that might be the editor, not sure. Will see what it looks like after the update!

    roll on hometime! can't wait to delve i to this properly - spent a bit of weekend experimenting with class combos in the intitial area but didn't want to go too far.

    Absolutely loving this. A few rough edges and questionable mechanics but it really takes me back to the deep RPG's of old while still feeling like it's own thing. I particularly enjoy talking to animals and stealing everything.

    The amount of additional polish (and performance improvements) between the last build and the final version is amazing.

    The only thing that grates is the sneak. Badass rogues do not dress as bushes.

    well, i made it to the lighthouse tonight with my aeromancer rogue and pyro-hydro mage. Absolutely loving the wealth of options in this. has that brilliant feeling of discovering a world The outcome of that first star stone.. wow.. can't wait to delve back in tomorrow.

    I've only played this on early early access with no class balance (I thought "that sounds like a game I'd like, here have some money to finish it - same with Wasteland). I'll need to find time to check it out now it's all polished up and the content's in.

    This sounds mighty tempting? Worth 30 I'm guessing? Specs make it sound like it should run well on my laptop for all those times my PS3 sits nice and quiety under the Tv whilst the missus watches shit like Hollyoaks.

    Are we talking Baldur's Gate/FF VII vibes?

    More Baldur's Gate than anything else but yeah, it's looking good, and insanely customisable to boot.

    Shame my Kickstarter code hadn't been activated last night, only put an hour in though so may just start again tonight if it's working.

    This game has been on my wishlist since earlier on this year but I held off buying it because it was Early Access, which I'm not a fan of personally. However, I managed to snag it with a 20% discount last night before the Steam Sale ended when I found out the final build had been released.

    I've only played a couple of hours of it but it seems like a very good game so far with nice visuals, lovely (if not always appropriate) music and an interesting turn-based combat system. Runs well too. I completed the tutorial dungeon and explored the opening area thoroughly before arriving at the town where I took an apple from a desk in a building and died during my first fight!!! Clearly, this is not a game where you can just take things in front of people without consequence! That alone makes this game stand out from most other RPGs that just allow you to take everything regardless.

    Looking forward to spending more time with it.
